I’m really sad to hear this, especially because her children are going to have such a difficult time. Their father is already a jerk, and now they lost their mother. I can only offer prayers for the repose of her soul and her children.
You are not the only one. My husband died of liver cancer in 06, a cousin died in Aug. 09, her next older sister died in May 10 and then 2 weeks later the only sister died. Now, 2 more cousins have cancer. I hate the word. God bless her family.
Yep, cancer is not kind. I lost my wife (literally the girl next door) to breast cancer at 28. Really tough times....still are, too.
Is that really necessary?
That you, Riele?
Sad. May the Lord embrace her and she knows peace.
Joining my prayers with others for the consolation of her children and the repose of her soul.
Prayers for the children
How very very sad for her children. This is the hardest time of the year to lose someone. My prayers for her family, may she rest in peace.
May she rest in peace.
Prayers for her friends and family. I didn’t realized that she had her last two kids when she was 48 and 50.
It is so sad she had to endure this cancer. RIP Mrs. Edwards
May she find peace....prayers for her children.
Poor woman!
Wronged big time by her husband!
Prayers UP!
My Dad died earlier this year of cancer. He lived for 5 weeks after treatment was halted but had several good weeks unlike the beating his body was taking while on chemo drugs. He was sick for 6 months from diagnosis to death.
I lost my Dad in 1998 to Colon cancer that had spread to the liver. Once it goes to the liver its pretty much a done deal. My Mom’s aunt had breast cancer for 15 years, died last week after it came back in the liver. I am so sorry for your loss. Breast cancer at 28, that’s horrible, so young.
Mom lost her battle with breast cancer in 1979 at the age of 52. She fought it for seven years. Horrible disease cancer is.
Hope I am brave enough to do the same when the time comes.
I have mixed feelings about Elizabeth Edwards. I have sympathy for her and her struggles with cancer. I think she handled her husband’s outrageous conduct with dignity at the end. However, before she got cancer (and before it got bad) she was a partisan political wife if there ever was one. I won’t say more than that out of respect for the dead. Suffices to say rest in peace.
