Sarah Palin: 'We've got to stand with our North Korean allies' (Liberals Are Loving It)

Sarah Palin never claimed she could see Russia from her house – that was Tina Fey – but she went one better on Glenn Beck's radio show in discussing the tensions in the Korean Peninsula and saying: "We've got to stand with our North Korean allies".

A transcript of the radio show reads:

Interviewer: How would you handle a situation like the one that just developed in North Korea?

Palin: Well, North Korea, this is stemming from a greater problem, when we're all sitting around asking, 'Oh no, what are we going to do,' and we're not having a lot of faith that the White House is going to come out with a strong enough policy to sanction what it is that North Korea is going to do. So this speaks to a bigger picture that certainly scares me in terms of our national security policy. But obviously, we've got to stand with our North Korean allies – we're bound to by treaty....

Interviewer: South Korean.

Palin: Yes, and we're also bound by prudence to stand with our South Korean allies, yes.

I’m sure we do have allies in North Korea, but they are all in detention camps and prisons awaiting execution for political ‘thought crimes’ against dear leader.

That is one thing Dear Reader likes about Dear Leader.

I think this shows Sarah can best help the conservative cause by raising money and promoting certain, conservative candidates.

Yep.

“do honestly think she didn’t know this ? you must have more respect for the knowledge of Junior High students than a potential Presidental candidate. get real.”

Not from presidential candidates who majored in Communications, sorry.

All this quibbling assumes, of course, that he knows that 57 + 1 = 58, or is even in the neighborhood of sixty. I guess if Reggie knows it, he knows it.

WOW! This is really an important indication of qualification for President of the United States! We can't have anyone who misspeaks, “57 states” comes to mind, as President!

Right but then nothing will stop Tina Fey. Heck, she dragged out old lies about Palin for her comedy acceptance speech. Nothing will stop the left from attacking Palin.

But therein lies an important truth:

Regardless of what the GOP nominee says or does... whoever it may end up being... that person will be mocked and ripped to shreds by the left. If it’s not Palin, it’ll be someone else.

That’s just how the left rolls.

But I’m certainly not going to stop supporting a conservative because the left will endlessly attack them...otherwise, there won’t be anyone left to support.

Why does a slip of the tongue disqualify someone from running for the Presidency ?

I listened to the entire interview and for anyone to make an issue of this is out of palin bashing only.

True idiocy to go after her for this.

I agree that Obama wasn’t qualified and is too dumb to be president.

It shouldn’t matter if Sarah says the wrong word occasionally though. I used to speak for several hours a day professionally, and I’d guess that at least once a week I misspoke on a relevant if not critically significant point. No one cared, because they understood. First, I’m a guy. Second, I’m not a public political threat to the media’s beloved socialists. Finally, my last name isn’t Palin.

“. . . my Muslim faith . . .”
- Obama

“I’ve now been in fifty seven states. I think one left to go. One left to go. Alaska and Hawaii, I was not allowed to go to even though I really wanted to visit but my staff would not justify it.”
- Obama

“There’s a lot of, I don’t know what the term is in Austrian, wheeling and dealing”
- Obama

“So let me introduce to you the next president, the next vice president of the US of America, Joe Biden.”
- Obama

There are many more from Obama . . . and from a Nobel Prize winner:

“People think about geothermal energy - when they think about it at all - in terms of the hot water bubbling up in some places, but two kilometers or so down in most places there are these incredibly hot rocks, ‘cause the interior of the earth is extremely hot, several million degrees, and the crust of the earth is hot”
- Al Gore

Misspeaking is what we all do every few thousands words. But this is Sarah Palin, the grandmother (mother?) of Bristol’s baby and the possible mother (grandmother?) of a “defective” baby, both of which the left thinks should have been killed, so it’s treated as a sign of her qualifications rather than of the large number of words she speaks. As long as she recognizes the mistake and quickly refudiates the sentiment, I’m okay with these slips.

Sarah can’t avoid the occasional oopsie except by not talking, and I don’t want to see her choose that option.

Understand...but still...this is the Koreas, I cannot for the life of me see any reason for confusion.

A slip of the tongue in many cases doesn't signify a lack of knowledge.

Yet you assume it does.

Romney had slip of the brain and slip of the constitution. It's called Romneycare. That is MUCH worse than slip of the tongue which every human being does.

Sept. 22, 2009 -- Sarah Palin speaking in Hong Kong:
"I know that you all — like all of Asia and indeed the whole world – has a keen interest in the emergence of “China as a great power.” Over the past few decades China’s economic growth has been remarkable. So has the economic growth and political liberalization of all of our key allies in Asia, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan."
And again in the speech:
"With its open political system and vibrant democracy, South Korea wants to play a larger role on the international stage as well. Of course it wants us to work together toward a future where the peninsula is irreversibly denuclearized, and unified. But it also wants to play a global role. We need to work together with Japan, South Korea and our steadfast ally to the south, Australia, to make sure Asia remains peaceful and prosperous."
The people who use this slip of the tongue to bash Sarah are a bunch of PDS-infected cowards. End of story. It's an outrage that they use FR to promulgate this crap. This ain't HuffPo.

“Sarah Palin needs to watch what she say’s.” (sic)

You mean ‘says’. But you’re right. Sarah Palin will be held to the Dan Quayle standard and not the barack obummer standard.

In her defense, she and the commentator said North Korea, 3 times before she made the mistake.

But hey the liberal wacko propagandists can just chalk it up to her being from the 57th state - a way out in the tundra.
