It shouldn’t matter if Sarah says the wrong word occasionally though. I used to speak for several hours a day professionally, and I’d guess that at least once a week I misspoke on a relevant if not critically significant point. No one cared, because they understood. First, I’m a guy. Second, I’m not a public political threat to the media’s beloved socialists. Finally, my last name isn’t Palin.
“. . . my Muslim faith . . .”
- Obama
“I’ve now been in fifty seven states. I think one left to go. One left to go. Alaska and Hawaii, I was not allowed to go to even though I really wanted to visit but my staff would not justify it.”
- Obama
“There’s a lot of, I don’t know what the term is in Austrian, wheeling and dealing”
- Obama
“So let me introduce to you the next president, the next vice president of the US of America, Joe Biden.”
- Obama
There are many more from Obama . . . and from a Nobel Prize winner:
“People think about geothermal energy - when they think about it at all - in terms of the hot water bubbling up in some places, but two kilometers or so down in most places there are these incredibly hot rocks, ‘cause the interior of the earth is extremely hot, several million degrees, and the crust of the earth is hot”
- Al Gore
Misspeaking is what we all do every few thousands words. But this is Sarah Palin, the grandmother (mother?) of Bristol’s baby and the possible mother (grandmother?) of a “defective” baby, both of which the left thinks should have been killed, so it’s treated as a sign of her qualifications rather than of the large number of words she speaks. As long as she recognizes the mistake and quickly refudiates the sentiment, I’m okay with these slips.
Sarah can’t avoid the occasional oopsie except by not talking, and I don’t want to see her choose that option.
As for Obama’s stupidity....and grievous actions...I try not to compare Sarah to him..it simply brings her down to his level of standards...and they are as low as one can get. So saying she's not as bad is not helpful for her. She can stand alone.
