Sliding silently under the mud, muck and fog of national politics, is a current event that makes Bill Clintons excursion into the world of elderly sex look tame in comparison. This time the nations national security is truly threatened in my opinion, and it involves not only a weak president with limited problem-solving ability, but leadership at the highest levels in the Pentagon as well. The American people would do well to demand a full investigation by an unbiased group, and let the chips fall where they may.
I am referring to the missile shot taken off the California coast recently, and the lame response by NORAD, the Pentagon and the White House itself.
(snip)
In my opinion, there is absolutely no doubt that what was captured on video off the coast of California was a missile launch, was clearly observed by NORAD, assessed by a four-star general within minutes, and passed to the president immediately. That is the way the system works, and heads fall if there is a failure. This is one of the most important tenets of national defense and its sole purpose of protecting the American people. Even the smallest failure in this system gets intense scrutiny at the highest level.
Now, the question that still must be answered is why NORADs muted response was simply that North America was not threatened, and later our government approved the lame excuse that the picture recorded was simply an aircraft leaving a contrail. This decision was made far above the four-star level, and because the system in place demands it, was made by the president himself.

Obama is putting our country in jeopardy! You won't know about it just like you didn't know about Clinton loosing the launch codes. We should bombard our Senators and Congressmen for answers, at least!
Mike
OK. I have backed out of these threads but I have to correct this:
No large missile; SLBM, ICBM, IRBM, or other guided missile uses spin stabilization.
These are guided missiles that have Missile Guidance Computers (MGC) and Inertial Measurement Units (IMU) and use either multiple gimballed thrust chambers or another form of thrust vectoring to maneuver the missile. THEY DO NOT USE SPIN STABILIZATION.
At the beginning of a missile launch the missile is programmed to do a roll maneuver to align the target side of the missile body and to ensure the IMU is functioning properly and sending the signals to the MGC. Once this roll program is completed there is only one more roll unless required to keep target alignment and those roll inputs are extremely small as any large input would place huge forces on the missile body and break it up due to tumbling the gyros in the IMU.
The corkscrew patterns shown in many missile launches (just look at old footage of manned flights) is due to differing wind speeds at different altitudes and also wind shears.
Yes, I do know a lot about this subject as I spent much of my life involved in missile operations and launches and all the ancillary research into the subject.
Here is a video on Youtube of how a ICBM works (the first two minutes is crap, sorry):
Even though this is a ICBM it is much the same for a SLBM.
The only spin stabilization id the reentry vehicle after its' release when it becomes a ballistic object.
Wonder if it was an accidental launch from a boat during a training exercise.
Anyone know where that thing went...?
Anyone hear of a platform sunk...?
Who attacks with one shot...?
EMP attempt..?
Even more could be gleaned if someone would explain how kerosene fumes were made to burn explosively at a pressure altitude of 14,000' msl......without being compressed......
“Of COURSE it was a missile launch. Anyone who knows anything about these matters can see the consistent symmetric turns in the contrail that scream spin stabilized missile.
Uh, what about the singular several hundred foot long fiery flame shooting out of the end of the flying object? I traveled for years and have seen hundreds of commercial jets take off and never once saw anything like that.
But if it was a large jet, why wasn't that known? It isn't like we misplace 737’s that often, air traffic control knows where they are, and if you lose contact with one all sorts of screaming starts.
Either explanation is worrying. Both hint that our air controllers are not able to really know what is going on in the airspace. Neither is very comforting.
Jim Cash may be an Air force Brigadier General, but he’s also a guy who is shooting of his mouth from a position of authority without ever asking why an SLBM could be photographed several minutes after launch with a $900 Nikon. He is a guy who has decied to speak with the voice of authority after seeing about 20 seconds of heavily edited material.
Where’s the stage separation, General?
EPIC FAIL.
Guided missile ping
Looks like if you reached the correct height, would only take one on the west coast and one on the east coast. Or perhaps one off the west coast and one off the 3rd coast (southern). Imagine Obama coming back from his Far East Crusade to an America crippled by an EMP.
Barry’s only alternative is to deny, deny, deny. Otherwise he would have to come and tell us the Chi Coms blew off an ICBM to express their displeasure over our attempt to weasel out of repaying the trillions of dollars we owe them.
You are supposed to. The whole thing is just a diversion from what the LAME DUCK DEMS are doing before they are replaced.
Don’t some of the islamopukes still use spin stabilized missiles, including some decent sized ones? Inaccurate as all get out, but cheap, and it’s not like they care who gets killed as long as someone does...
Stage separation is very visible, but you knew that didn't you? Does it have to be posted again?
If Russia was testing a Buvala, or China was saber rattling, and either of them launched a missile that close, heads would roll. It would also be politically very damaging to the President.
