DETROIT -- Michigan high school teacher Jay McDowell says he didn't like where the discussion was going after a student told his classmates he didn't "accept gays."
So McDowell kicked the boy out of class for a day.
In return, the teacher was suspended for a day without pay for violating the student's free speech rights.

My guess is the boy who didn’t like homosexuals is a MoHamHead.
In the Leftist protected species hierarchy, MoHamHeads trump Homosexuals trump Women trump Blacks.
My guess is the teacher was punished for not knowing the correct Leftist protected species pecking order.
Why must schools use their time to discuss students’ feelings about homosexuality? Couldn’t they just repeat verb conjugations or memorize the dates of all the Chinese dynasties or Presidential elections?

There's a difference between 'tolerance' and 'acceptance' and it sounds like the student got it right.

Teacher got fired....for saying I have no right to say something.
This was Howell, MI, a country town about 40 miles NW of Detroit.
The Detroit Free Press reported that the incident began when this teacher asked a girl in his class to remove her Confederate flag belt buckle. The boy asked, why does she have to take off her belt, but it’s ok to fly the “rainbow flag?” That’s what set things off.
My gosh, this guy teaches econ. He’s got way too much time on his hands—the very idea of worrying about some girl’s belt buckle!
Wow, glad I was wrong.
The teacher should not only be suspended, he should be FIRED for telling the girl to remove an article of clothing. What was that teacher doing looking at her belt buckle anyway?
Get him OUT of there. Permanently.

Fine, they want to discuss the wonders and enjoyment of being gay? Let them also discuss the physical effects of this abomination on the body.
Sorry, but I will never accept or approve of this perverted lifestyle. Throughout history, this utter contempt for the laws of God and nature have been one factor in many societies downfall.

This happened in Howell, about 40 miles from Detroit. Grew up in Brighton, the town next to it and lived in Howell for several years. What is happening is Livingston county which was very conservative saw a huge influx of libs in the housing boom there. This teacher had his rainbow flag and was an activist, had the student said he didn’t like Mormons or Catholics in the exact same way he did with gays the teacher would have done nothing but agree with the kid. To be honest if the Howell School Board had a set of gonads amongst them this wacko teacher would have been fired.
"I thought it was a really great, teachable moment," McDowell said of his decision to remove the student from class.
And I guess he got taught as well.
"Freedom of speech" does not mean you have "freedom from consequences" from what you say.

The gay rights agenda has to end. Look America has to tolerate evrything under the sun BS, I do not have to tolerate a lifestyle that is not natural. The Law of Nature prevails, do animals cohabit with the same sex to bear offspring. God has intended men to cleave to women not to other men, how disgusting that the American Society desires US to be accepting and tolerating a personal choice.
Do I have to tolerate the rights of Muslims in the US for sharia Law. Look at the Amish and Mennonites how are they in American Society - pay taxes, social security and yet the are separate from society. If an amish or Mennonite breaks the law they are turned over to the apporpiate authorities. In their religious convictions are they banging down doors or demanding others to convert of have a jihad on their neighbors because of their beliefs.
maybe the tide of liberalism in Michigan is being overturned. It is about time that the crazy isms need to be ended in Michigan. Next step is to run the largest Muzzie population out of Dearborn, Michigan. Sharia Law is not in conjunction with the US Constitution. Okay the Muslims desire Sharaia Law, than the jews can have the year of Jubilee and all debts are wiped every 50 years. Funny if you give into religoius minorities to much they can take over your country. Ask Great britain and France about Muslim tolerance. Look at the Netherlands to see what has happened with sexual tolerance - the nation is a hellhole.
My younger brother was cornered by a teacher in a similar way. When my brother said the homosexual lifestyle isn’t normal or healthy, the teacher asked what my brother would do if he learned his friend was gay.
“I’d stop being his friend.”
Then the teacher made the mistake of asking for a show of hands of those students who agreed. The majority of the class raised their hands.
