I am confident that by now, you have all read about Sarah Palin's Alaska program. I'm also confident that you have all been witness to the MSM's overtime/overkill effort to destroy Sarah Palin's reputation.
One of the barrage of tactics the MSM has been resorting to is to brand Sarah Palin's Alaska as a "reality tv" show. Some of your have been guilty of assisting the MSM by posting stories which include the description of this particular show as being a "reality" program.
I would like to encourage all my fellow Freepers out there to call the show what it really is; a travel program. Let us refrain from helping the MSM in their consumed desire to destroy the Palin family's reputation and political endeavors.
“If you’re calling me a liar, then you can just go piss off.”
If I may, I don’t think they were calling you a liar, I think they just hate that phrasing. In all honesty, I’m not a big fan of it myself.
Dang, must have missed that one.
Sounds as delusional as pissy.
Sorry, pissy is world class number one nuts on FR's big board from what I've seen.....no one else comes even close.
As JR said, he not only embarrasses FR, he embarrasses himself.
It’s called ‘Sarah Palin’s Alaska’. What part of that doesn’t make you think it’s about Sarah? Besides, Charlie, you and pissy are well known Palin bashers. If I see either one or both of you on a Palin thread I know what’s going on.
The ‘original poster’ and I have come to terms, in case you didn’t notice.
DUmmie FUnnies 11-15-10 (David Allen's DUmmieland takes on Sarah Palin's Alaska)
And what's wrong with that? I don't know if it's a documentary, reality show, travel log, or what, but I found it very interesting. I loved the scenery, "meeting" her family and just generally spending an hour in another part of the U.S. I'm looking forward to the other segments.
It is a reality TV show. There’s nothing wrong with that.
I didn’t say there was anything wrong with it. I just said that those kinds of shows don’t interest me.
Why don’t you post a link to the last post I made where I “bashed” Sarah Palin, or said something significantly negative about her.
Attacks on her syncophantic supporters don’t count. I think her supporters do her great disservice sometimes.
But go ahead, show me a link. I’m “well-known”, you say, so it should be easy.
pissant’s views are well-known. I want to see what has given you your “well-known” impression of me.
Yer nuttin but a hatin bomb thrower, chaz. Always have been. ;o)
From my point of view it looked like a documentary of a family living in Alaska, a family that has been exposed to the media, a family fighting back like Knights of the Round Table and Sarah is wielding the sword. A family that takes for granted the expanse, the climate, has the utmost respect for the indigenous critters unlike liberals who want them eradicated or put in a zoo.
But here is why I can give a different view, because I happen to live 11 miles up the road from Sarah Palin, what we see is the Palins world, their house, flying or in their motorhome.
We are not seeing the people of Wasilla, of Palmer, of Willow, of those living in the Butte, or the many living in old trailers and literally pallets and connex containers.
We don’t see yet the dirty side of Alaska, the roads during the winter, the roadkill specialists that carve up a moose just recently kissed by a Kenworth. The day people get their PFD and the mass exodus from Walmart the next day of everyone with a new plasma TV.
We don’t as yet see what it takes to bring food, mail and schooling to the bush communities.
I want people to see Alaska for its beauty but also the dangers, like when a family on a deserted highway breaks down in -45 temps and the State Troopers find them two days later dead. The stories of boom and bust, how the small mom and pop stores were all but eradicated in the last ten years by the big box stores. How a decent enclosed mall was demolished literally within a week without even removing anything of value all in the hurry to build a Target store, a Sports Authority and a few other strip mall places that most people just hate and won’t shop there.
I like having a Walmart, but I miss the Chimos (a gun shop) that was a full sized store, now its just a small shop with no more gunsmith. Sportsmen Warehouse does a good job but I have not bought anything there in a year.
Sarah Palin should show the true hardships of Alaska, the lack of jobs, the commute to Anchorage many must do year round, she should show the tremendous amount of new homes built, and the market collapse. Yes there is a lot of empty new homes in the valley right now.
I have nothing against Sarah Palin at all, I just don’t want a rush of glitter eyed immigrants fleeing oppression of the lower 48 coming up here and being a royal pain in the rear to the rest of us.
That’s me. Always with the hate. :-)
Not all reality shows are bad.
Husband: No, it's a travelogue.
.......................................................
Wife: No it's a floor wax.
Husband:No it's a dessert topping you cow.
Spokesman:[Enters quickly] Hey, hey, hey, calm down, you two. New Shimmer is both a floor wax and a dessert topping!

I see you’re incapable of following the FR rules and are interjecting our previous discussion on another thread into this. Can’t expect much more from you: hate is your Modus Operandi.
Palin wasn’t running for president. She was chosen as a running mate. Hunter was running for president, and he supported labor unions.
You have no clue what you are talking about. None whatsoever.
It is rare that your comments on any thread reflect that of an individual who seeks to engage in civil public discourse. Any Freeper who wishes to see a plethora of examples just has to read through a few threads you’re commenting on.
You’ve earned a well deserved reputation for spewing hate and sarcasm, and rarely anything else. It is a complete waste of time for anyone to engage such an individual as yourself. I’ve already reported you to the admin. moderator for violating FR codes of conduct on this site.
This will be my last post to you personally.
DirecTV information reads:
“Sarah and Toss climb one of Denali’s peaks...”
Who is Toss?
It’s hard to imagine it was a typo. When I Googled the phrase, the same information showed up for Dish Network too.
Perhaps Toss is a famous local mountaineer.
