Well, it was only a matter of time. But people are pushing back because … for the most part they don’t think this makes them safer. This is just one of the stories on the new TSA pat downs. Steve has posted on it here. But the push back from travelers, flight attendants and pilots continues. HS Secretary Janet Napolitano has asked for cooperation from travelers … but that’s easier said than done. Witness the push back from a San Diego traveler.

Travel is a RIGHT. Flying included. Travel by Common Carrier — which all airlines are — is a more protected right.

Some who don’t know this from that say it is not a right. They claim it is a “privilege”. That is incorrect, it is a fundamental right.

I refuse to fly or do business with anyone who treats people like criminals.

Well, the scanner would likely have picked up the Panty Bomber’s explosive.

But, he didn’t have to go thru TSA. He got on the plane in Nigeria & never had to be screened again.

We’ll know for sure on November 24.

It’s also a choice job for potential muslim terrorists.

Sorry, too late to go back. Islamists have determined how we must behave (less freedom) and now Big Government is taking advantage of the “crisis”—instead of killing the bad guys.

I believe the TSA “no video policy” is to cover their incompetence and not secuirty.

If anything, the no video will be stepped up even more.

Perhaps the Obamaloon should have hired someone with greater than room temp IQ, and we might give more credence to their statements.

Big Sis is an idiot.

But....so is Obama.

I’ve never had a time when I’ve held our government in such contempt.

I would like to see every person on a flight refuse to be screened either way. If they all get kicked out, then the airline has no passengers......this will be stopped asap.

Talk about fascist.
I am surprised no one has mentioned the rest of the story.

On the way OUT of the airport, after his airfare had been refunded, some other federal agent comes up to this guy and says . . .
HE HAS TO GO BACK TO THE SECURITY AREA AND COMPLETE THE BODY SCAN OR ELSE BE FINED UP TO $10,000.

Did anyone know that once a body scan or grope is initiated you have no right to go back home without being threatened with a fine ?

Two things on the whole TSA-pat down affair:

1) Where’s fat-boy Moore on this one? Sounds like the greatest mock-u-mentarian in history would do great with this problem.

2) If I were subjected to a pat-down like this (luckily I avoided it last week when I was traveling), I’d be tempted to do a little reverse psychology and make like I ENJOYED the invasive pat-down. Can you imagine the reaction of the TSA folks if you made out like it was pleasurable, rather than invasive???

Fourth Amendment: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

The panty bomber’s father is a prominent citizen in Nigeria.

This man contacted the American authorities and told them his son was a possible terrorist and a threat to flights headed for the United States. What did the American authorities do with this information? They stuck it up their collective behinds which, by the way, is a place where explosives can’t be detected by the TSA’s strip search machines.

Well, there are these:

And ten people with cell phones recording a pat down. The TSA cannot cope with a persistent populace any more than you can stop a persistent Squirrel from getting in the attic.

House to house searches for guns, bombs and drugs would make us “safer”. They still don’t do it, for the same reason they should not be able to do this.

It’s all about unreasonable search. And it’s a constitutional thing. No probable cause, so search.
