Hannity was surprised to hear a famous ex Air Force General tell him That Is A Missile, Shot From A Submarine! I quote retired Air Force Lieutenant General Tom McInerney (ex commander of 11th Air Force in Alaska) I spent 35 years flying fighters, and you can see the guidance system kick in, I have watched that film 10 times, I am absolutely certain that that is not an aircraft, but a sub launch ICBM missile!!! See the video and judge his words for yourself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LivRJOWrcpA&feature=player_embedded#! I will next post a clickable link.
Reproduce the video. Should be easy to do. No one has.
True
But hasn’t the LA Times reported that the video has been confiscated, and that is why we cannot see it and no one can find it?
Is this correct?
Because the whole thing is certainly unavailable to see ........
This launch was arcing west. The retired general on Hannity even stated it was arcing at 45 degrees. And no one was south of this except the fishes. Look at a map.
I dont see a single ounce of proof that it was a missile, nothing.
Well then, take it up with the retired general on Hannity.
He’s not here, but you are saying he’s correct. So it’s up to you.
I wish you guys would at least get the story straight. I’ve seen just about every possible nation including our blamed for this. Some say it was a test, some a scare, some blah blah blah.
It’s all complete conjecture and ridiculous. All this over a plane, amazing.
Bla bla bla, refute my point; otherwise you're just typing on a keyboard. I see you choose to deflect rather than counter the argument.
That being said, and notwithstanding, all your bla bla bla, and all that, nonetheless, seems to be all you are capable of; you seem to be either unwilling, or outright incompetent to rebut a suitable defense regarding the inconsistancy between the two CBS framegrabs at issue. Perhaps you're either just cluelesss how to make a coherent counterargument (or have too much emotional currency invested to see the weakness of your propositions).
In any event, let the record show: the question has been asked and the debater is non-responsive (except for ad-hominem). As far as the general's opinion, there's virtually as many of those as there are mouths (everybody's got one). Except for one thing: shooting 'em off don't substitute for thinking. And that goes for you too.
Either way: I really couldn't care less what you think. And quite frankly, I'm not even the least curious what you're going to do about what you believe. IF there's something you actually believe that you can do about your opinion.
Fine. You are admitting you cannot disprove what the Retired General has asserted. BTW - His appearance was recorded.
This is not a philosophical thread. This thread is about the testimony of a Retired General who asserts this was a missile. Has nothing to do with philosophy. It has to do with disproving the generals assertions which you cannot do, so we get your non-related posting on philosophy.
..incompetent to rebut a suitable defense regarding the inconsistancy between the two CBS framegrabs at issue. Perhaps you're either just cluelesss how to make a coherent counterargument (or have too much emotional currency invested to see the weakness of your propositions).
When are you gonna put together a coherent post about the topic ? So you really do not know how to post an image in your post ? You want me to go through all that crap just because you lack basic HTML skills ?
you mean you actually think our government or one of its agencies would mislead or lie to us????
/s
Since you seem to lack the ability to place images into a post, thought I would do the post for you. Then I would try to figure out the point you want to make. Do you see images in post #303 ? Because I do not see any here. Perhaps they are no longer available ?
By now the Coast Guard would be swamped with missing persons reports! Others would be on the scene in their own boats frantically searching for any sign of their missing relatives.
Oh, the humanity!
No one has produced a similar looking contrail image. The lighting on everyone is wrong. And they wont be able to get the contrail lighting right until the next missile test launch.
I am. But what confused be was the statement that it 'locked on' to something. Locked on to what?
Then it's far simpler. Views from the north that show it going eastward with time.
There were flight restrictions near to that area and near to that time.
Doesn't matter whether there were restrictions posted or not, there were commercial aircraft flying through the area on schedule, and they were picked up and plotted on the radar records.
Adjust your theory to fit facts, not the other way around.
The lighting proves it was going westward. The Retired General on Hannity stated is was arcing at 45 degrees away from the video camera. IE - Westward. There is even a second video showing it going westward. That is why it appeared to be moving slow.
Doesn't matter whether there were restrictions posted or not, there were commercial aircraft flying through the area on schedule, and they were picked up and plotted on the radar records.
What area ? We do not know where it was launched from. Might have been launched way out at San Nicolas Island and quickly arced 45 degrees elevation out to the west.

There are other pictures of the same damn thing proving it was heading east.
No amount of evidence is going to help you is it?
Thanks for clearing that up - I’ll be back in a sec - gotta wash the egg off my face.
:)
Given that Mythbusters was at the Jon Stewart rally, I don’t trust their “expertise” any more.
