Blago, Snooki to pitch for pistachios
Dow Jones Newswires-Wall Street Journal ^ | November 1, 2010 | Suzanne Vranica

Corporate America usually steers clear of controversial pitch people, but pistachio grower Paramount Farms is plowing a different path.

The unit of Roll International Corp. has signed Rod Blagojevich, the former Illinois governor who was convicted of lying to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, the MTV star who recently made headlines after being charged with disorderly conduct, to appear in its new $20 million ad campaign that begins Monday.

The fact that corporations are using Snooki as part of a $20 million ad campaign speaks volumes about the state of this nation.

Am I the only one who avoids such businesses? Surely this cannot generate much in sales.

They’re already running some of these ads in Silicon Valley, I forget which programs or channels.

There are plenty of commercials that are offensive, many anti-male. I find myself watching TV less as each week passes.

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, the MTV star who recently made headlines after being charged with disorderly conduct.....

Strange. Unless you actually watch MTV, you never would have heard of Snooki untill she “made headlines after being charged with disorderly conduct”.

How is it even possible to be famous just for being charged with disorderly conduct?

Also. While I’m chatting about trivial BS.... did anyone else see Snookie Halloween costumes this year?

Bizarre world we live in these days.

Pistachios and cheezeballs have the same properties that generate addictive behaviour patterns in individuals as another manifestation that shall never be uttered in this nonsensical fiasco...

Cocaine.

They’ve tried to say it’s a small, small world. How can it be small when there’s so much room for weirdness?
