A struggling mom who wrote to President Obama about her financial hardship and received a handwritten response from him saying, "Things will get better!," has had to sell the letter to an autograph dealer to help pay for a house.
Jennifer Cline, 28, from Monroe, Mich., wrote to Obama describing how she and her husband had lost their jobs in 2007. She wrote, "I lost my job, my health benefits and my self-worth in a matter of five days."

“You know what makes me sad? You do!! Maybe we should just chug over to mamby paamby land where maybe we can find a little self confidence for ya, ya jackwagon!!”
Thanks sarge, I needed that.
So, What can she do with the dollar and a half some fool paid her for the letter. LMAO.
Ten to one when Obozo appears on TV, she still clasps her hands together and with stars in her eyes chants, ‘Hope! Change!”
Good point!
She should have contacted Rush and asked him to sell it for her. He would have had gotten a lot of mileage out of auctioning it off and exponentially increased her profit.
"I lost my job, my health benefits and my self-worth in a matter of five days."
It is NOT YOUR JOB. It's your bosses/owners job. Unless you own the company, it isn't your job.
How did she 'lose' her 'benefits'? What, did she leave them on the car roof? Are they behind the living room couch? Oh, they were with 'Your' job.
Those were not her's. They were a benefit, a gift, a compensation from the owner. They are still there, with the owner.
Lastly, she states she has also 'lost her self worth'. In other words, she's says she is worth zero. Well, she may of gotten this one right. At least in the movie Godfather, Fredo thought he could do something.
That doesn't even make any sense. He is such a moron
Wait a minute!
Where is our share of the proceeds?
Is she going to be a contributing member of the new Socialist Obama State and redistribute her unearned wealth?
Or is she just another greedy, materialistic, opportunist who wants to share what others have worked for but keep whatever she can get her grubby communistic paws on?
She is a market timer. She is selling an Obama letter while he is still in office and the letter has some value.
Within a year, an Obama letter will have no value
What’s a letter from Jimmy Carter worth?
“peanuts”
“He wrote back on a White House-headed card he signed: “Thanks for the very kind and inspiring letter. I know times are tough, but knowing there are folks out there like you and your husband gives me confidence that things will keep getting better!”
I agree with you - must be something was left out of her letter as I don’t see anything “kind and inspiring”. They’re in trouble and obozo has CONFIDENCE! I guess he’s pleased that her problems are a result of his great planning!
Jennifer Cline is featured in the article, which includes this: "She wanted to tell Obama about how she and her boyfriend had finally gotten married in November and splurged on an open bar for the reception...How her husband had found a $14-an-hour job working the midnight shift for Delta Air Lines and how he sometimes detoured through the nicer suburbs on his way home to scout out houses for a day when he made $50,000 and felt ready to buy again."
So they had a roof over their heads, could afford not only a wedding and reception but an open bar, and sold the letter for a down payment on a house.
Wonder how long before we're treated to another Jennifer Cline update, wherein they lose the current house because the Republicans now control the House of Representatives.
For a look outside presidential bubble, Obama reads 10 personal letters each day
Hot checks can get you in jail oh wait it’s Obama above the law.
do they say stuff like that to you in boot camp? :)
Perfect comeback! And appropriate. Thanks.
The list, ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
