Ibrahim Hassan Al Asiri --- "believed to be the movement's resident bombmaking expert - skills he first put to chilling use in a suicide attack in which he recruited his own younger brother, Abdullah, 23, to act as the "martyr".
The attack was an audacious attempt on the life of the Saudi Deputy Minister of the Interior, Prince Muhammad Abdul Aziz Al-Saud..."

What a hypocritical bastard! He convinces his younger brother that he must die for Allah in a murderous attack on innocents yet HE decides he is so holy that HE doesn’t need to follow his own device. I say we figure out where he is and send a Predator to take his ass out.

Yemeni President bars US commando raid on al Qaeda package plotters I find it difficult to believe that the Obama administration, which took four days to approve shooting some Somali pirates, and months to partially approve a General's request for additional troops, is even close to being ready to carry out a commando raid at this time. Besides, they probably haven't got permission to give permission from their lawyers yet.

Attorney General Eric Holder's law firm, Covington and Burling, has provided dozens of them pro bono legal representation and sob-story media relations campaigns. True to form, former Covington and Burling lawyer Marc Falkoff dedicated a book of Gitmo detainee poetry to his Yemeni suspected terrorist "friends inside the wire." And the White House is rolling out the red carpet to bring them to U.S. soil for civilian trials. -----Bleeding Hearts and Jihadi Revolving Doors," Townhall ^ | 12-30-09 | Michelle Malkin Posted on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 12:30:21 AM by smoothsailing

It seems unfair to the American people that al Qaeda
is protected by the DOJ and given info by Holder and Obama.
The Al-Qaeda Bar (Big Law Firms Line Up to Represent Terrorists)
Some of the nations wealthiest and most powerful law firms have donated hundreds of
millions of dollars in free legal services to terror suspects at the Guantanamo Bay prison.
Their work, bolstered by left-wing activists groups, has helped to free, or force the
transfer, of hundreds of al Qaeda suspects to third countries. Some have gone back to
terrorism and the job of trying to kill Americans.
The work of big American law firms on behalf of al Qaeda is drawing new attention since
Attorney General Eric Holder decided this month that Khalid Sheik Mohammed, who
orchestrated the murder of over 3,000 9-11, is coming to New York City for trial. Holder
was a partner at Covington & Burling, which in 2005 gave one its attorneys an award for
aiding 17 Yemeni suspects at Guantanamo.
A list of 10 of the largest American legal firms representing Guantanamo terror detainees:
Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw
Blank Rome
Manatt, Phelps & Phillips
Shearman & Sterling
Allen & Overy
Convington & Burling
Dorsey & Whitney
Holland & Hart
Hunton & Williams
Paul, Weiss

AG Eric Holder's clients (the REAL reason for the transfer to free them):
Saad Al Qahtani
Mohammed Zahrani
Achraf Salim ("Sultan") Abdessalam
Abdul Rahman Abdul Abu Ghityh Sulayman
Musaab Omar Al Madhwani
Jawad Jabbar Sadkhan (Al Sahlani)
Majid Khan

Are we absolutely SURE there was actual explosive material in those cartridges? First there might be, then there were none, now there definitely was? And all the media reports seem to be suddenly VERY dependent on “US” officials. The only third party confirmation that I've found is that it contained lead azide. I'm glad nobody was killed, but if there were explosives, it may have been due to the designer's incompetence, as per the underwear bomb. AND Obama still waited 12 hours before notifying the Brits.
Without third party confirmation that what the Obama regime is telling us so close to an important election is the truth, I'm taking the details - and the response - with a grain of salt.

Personally, and probably against my distrustful and suspicious stance against Islam in general, I don't believe a damn word of all this "package bomb" 'viable' bombs, so and so detained here, one plane - hell, two planes detained there, couple dozen packages lost/missing, found - no wait, weren't lost? Hell, I don't know, but I don't believe it.
I said this a day or two ago. Either we are facing a disasterously inept enemy in these Islamic nutjobs, or we are faced with a very disasterously inept enemy for whom a large part of our country voted in late 2008..... I choose the latter since I haven't heard about any explosions yet.
