Raleigh, N.C. — A 39-year-old Raleigh woman faces charges that she twice exposed herself at major intersections over 10 days.
An arrest warrant issued Friday states that Lynette Marie Layton, whose address was unknown, stood naked in front a man and passing traffic at Glenwood Avenue and Lead Mine Road.
Raleigh police arrest records show that Layton was also charged with indecent exposure in an incident at Wake Forest and Six Forks roads on Oct. 19.
Layton was charged with indecent exposure in the Friday incident and placed in the Wake County jail under a $500 secured bond.

I agree. Her appearance and her behavior definitely indicate mental illness (although drug abuse is possible). We joke, but she probably need to be cared for.

Could be drug abuse. Often the mentally ill self medicate with street drugs because of lack of services. Prescribers won’t prescribe a med if there is not followup care in place. Psychiatrists for this population are rare and overworked.
When you hear of someone behaving bizarrely in some post or news article, realize that most likely it is one of our un-cared for mentally ill.
We seem to be back at the 15th and 16th century in our reaction to the mentally ill. Again they are some sort of sideshow.

Third problem ~ no competent medical authority has been asked to check this woman out. It's pretty obvious she has one of several well known psychiatric conditions. We pay plenty of tax dollars for psychiatric outpatient services.
I know people who have the drugs she needs ~ just lying there in little baggies in a kitchen drawer. They'd be glad to help I am sure ~ which is another problem they have ~ the SWAP DRUG MEETS.
Eventually the guy running the local jail is going to hook her up with someone ~

She looks like she's probably at some psychotic state from lack of sleep ~ and that could be drugs, or schizophrenia where it sometimes happens that they get stuck on "on" for extended periods.
Exhaustion and lack of water will give your skin a really nasty look.
I do not see the crease in the cheeks that comes from losing your teeth to meth or peyote.
She needs a shower and her hair washed.
