A Lock Of Hair
October 27, 2010
After his return from the moon, Neil Armstrong was often plagued by the media. Seeking greater privacy, he moved his family into a small town. But notoriety was a nuisance even there. Armstrongs barber found out that people would pay good money to get a lock of his hair. So after giving the space hero several haircuts, he sold the clippings to a buyer for $3,000! Armstrong was shocked at the barbers opportunism.
The Scriptures tell of another story of disloyalty and a haircut. As a symbol of Gods calling of Samson as a Nazirite, he was never to cut his hair (Judg. 13:5). When the Spirit of God came upon him, he was given super-human strength over his enemies (15:14). Wanting to overpower him, the Philistines hired Delilah, a woman who had a relationship with him, to find out the secret of that strength. He foolishly told her that his power would be gone if his hair were cut. She lulled him to sleep and had him shorn (16:5,19).
Greed can drive us to be disloyal to others and to God, causing us to make sinful choices. Our desire should be to exhibit a heart that is fully committed to love the Lord and others. He shows Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him (2 Chron. 16:9).
O Lord, may my heart be loyal to You
In all that I say and all that I do;
When a trusted person is not a true friend,
I know that on You I can always depend. Hess
The L
ord . . . [shows] Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.
2 Chronicles 16:9

You Are Pumpkin Cheesecake |
You are sweet and smooth. You charm people without even trying to, and you leave a lasting impression. You seem rich and sophisticated yet down to earth. Most people feel immediately comfortable around you.
With each new season, you look forward to revamping yourself and upgrading your style. And autumn is no exception. You love to step out of your house in a nice new coat and scarf. Maybe read a new book. Try a new restaurant. It's all about change. |
This is pretty laughable. The part,
"You are sweet and smooth. You charm people without even trying to, and you leave a lasting impression. You seem rich and sophisticated yet down to earth. Most people feel immediately comfortable around you"
Is especially silly. I never charm anyone, even if I try, and I always make people uncomfortable. >:^)

You Are Classic Pumpkin Pie |
You are old fashioned and traditional. You prefer the old classics to newfangled traditions. You believe that some of the best things in life have been forgotten. Luckily, you still remember them.
You are nostalgic for a simpler era, even possibly a time before you were born. You love old movies, music, and fashions. You find the past to be a rich and interesting time. |

You Are Pumpkin Barfcake |
You turn people's stomachs. You gross people out without even trying to, and you leave a lasting depression. You seem bileish and completely putrid. Most people feel immediately squeamish around you.
With each new season, you look forward to revamping yourself and downgrading your style. And autumn is no exception. It's all about Hope & Change. |

You Are Pumpkin Bread |
You are considerate and generous. Your heart warms when you're able to do something unexpectedly nice for someone else. You know it can be a cold world out there, and you have plenty of happiness to spread around.
You try to give as much as possible every day, and you know that small acts of kindness can often mean the much. Whether you're being a good listener or sharing a slice of your pumpkin bread, people feel lucky to be able to count on you. |

Hi Kathy!
Seems I'm a pumpkin latte:
You Are a Pumpkin Latte You are energetic and fun loving. You get into the spirit of every season, but fall is definitely your favorite time. You are excited for the change of seasons, and you love the spirit and togetherness it brings. You love to do everything related to fall - whether it's celebrating Halloween and Thanksgiving or going to check out the changing leaves. You truly immerse yourself in the season. You always miss autumn when it's gone, but you make the most of it while it's here.
