What a fraud, what a punk. These people (however stupid to support him in the first place) paid $7500 to have DINNER with him, and did not get that. All he wanted was their money.

So after snubbing his host at a posh event and cutting time short with big dollar donors, he gives them the “I’m a regular guy” routine
So here's the question: did he do this as a favor to the host, eliminating the need for the Secret Service to do its food thing (whatever that might be) with the kitchen OR did he subject his host to the full monty of the presidential protection regime and then skip the meal? My money is on the latter.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — President Obama’s final stop was a $7,500-a-head fundraiser in the well-appointed home of Arnold “Buff” and Johnnie Chace on the East Side, not far from Brown University.
The president spoke for about 20 minutes, then left before the dinner of locally grown foods by celebrated Rhode Island chefs — including lobster risotto — that Mrs. Chace had planned.
Mr. Obama concluded his remarks at about 7:30, saying he couldn’t stay for dinner.
“I’ve got to go home to tuck in the girls and walk the dog and scoop the poop,” he said.
In the class dept., I think Obama is trying to channel Billy Carter.

I read in the supposed White House Insider leaks post on FR a couple of days ago that Obama came in late (laughing) to a high level Afghanistan, sat there looking distracted for ten minutes and then excused himself and walking out laughing. I think he’s handling the pressure of sinking popularity and a looming electoral smack down with increased smoking and probably other self medicating substances as well. As such, twenty minutes was probably his max. He needed another hit of whatever he’s using to get by. Fwiw.
IIRC it has been previously reported that he does not eat at these events or eats in another room.
When reading about this in the past, I thought he must believe he is “too good” to eat with the little people.
