Were human beings created by God in an instant, or over millions of years through evolution?
Glenn Beck addressed the question on his radio show today as he came to the defense of Christine O'Donnell, the Republican U.S. Senate candidate from Delaware under fire for challenging evolution.
"Did evolution just stop?" Beck asked rhetorically. "I haven't seen the half-monkey/half-person yet. ... There's no other species that's developing into half-people."
"I don't know how God creates. I don't know how we got here," he continued, wondering what God might tell him after he dies. "If God's like, 'Yup, you were a monkey once,' I'll be shocked, but I'll be cool with it."
Beck explained, "If God didn't create, if things evolve, then your rights evolve. You're not endowed by your Creator.
"Just like you go from a monkey to a man, you go from simple rights to higher rights and somebody has to take those rights and give them to you and take them away or change them. This is again the evolutionary thinking of progressivism."

Evolutionism is a religion.
Its adherents are less bloody than mohammedans, but no less fervent.
What are little boys made of?
Frogs and snails
And puppy-dogs’ tails,
That’s what little boys are made of.
What are little girls made of?
Sugar and spice
And all that’s nice,
That’s what little girls are made of.
If existence is "fixed" and nothing changes then what we must be faced with is a situation where God has some difficulty getting His message to us, so He has to keep sending prophets to readdress the same old thing.
If existence is "not fixed", to wit, it "changes", then what we must be faced with is a situation where God has some difficulty getting His message to us, but there's also this "change thing", so He adjusts His message to make sense within the framework of the new reality.
Again, the solution in either case is for God to send a prophet, or even a Messiah!
All things are possible with God.
oh please............GBeck/don’t waste my time nor yours!
Our church did a series called crutch about this very issue. looked at it from a realists point of view.
To support the big bag theory, something was created completely out of nothing.. How can that be done? a non-existent fart happened and BOOM there was matter?
Or someone/thing, a power higher than we are able to understand created everything.
I go with Someone on that over the matterless fart.
If the atheist is wrong.. he goes to hell.. if he’s right nothing happens.
If a born again Christian is wrong.. Nothing happens. If he’s right. He’s going to heaven.
When you look at it that way, why wouldn’t you be a Christan? You’ve got nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Evolution. Like Beck said, how come we stopped evolving? I say it’s because we never started.
If he believes in the God of the Old and New Testament Bible he does.
Alinksy was right, ridicule and the fear of it is a very powerful weapon, and one that Glen Beck fears himself, despite all the bluff, bluster and posturing.
I see these half-monkey people every where. They're called progressives. You can see them too, just turn over to MSNBC, ABC, CBS, CNN...
If He did then He made some of us a monkey short of a full barrel.
Beck is a couple of years away from being institutionalized. The decline is sad, but inevitable, as long as people reinforce his delusions.
Are Beck, McDonnell et al trying to damage Conservative chances as much as possible at the voting booth in November with this tripe right now?
Ooops. O’Donnell.
Isn’t there a “matching” picture of Buckwheat somewhere?
I think God is out of the sending a prophet business.
Hebrews 1:1 ¶God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
4 ¶Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
Then we have “the Two Witnesses” ~ so, did you make a theological point, or were you arguing with Revelation?
That is the question that needs to be answered.
