I’ve never understood the Reagan-McPalin comparisons.
There is no comparison. Reagan was his own man.
He was nobody’s apprentice.

Sarah Palin is America’s Maggie Thatcher !

Isn't this a bit premature? Thatcher was PM for 11 years, while Palin's executive experience consists of mayor of Tinytown and half a term as governor of the 4th least populous state.

Maybe she is intent on changing the status quo attitude within the RNC. I suspect Sarah can be very persuasive, she has my support. Tear em a new one Sarah!

What is lame is you ignorance to history and the facts. Tell which politician today or in the past resembles more of Reagan to the T than Palin.

Anyone who even remotely thinks or insinuates that ‘Palin’ is USING Steele is an idiot or a troll.

For those who don’t know which you are - just ask yourself - who is more popular? then you can answer ‘who’ is using ‘who’.

If you don’t know the answer to that, then you’re not a troll.

Palin is not a sellout. How else do you expect us to take over the RINO GOP?

Steele will be taking orders from Sarah, NOT the other way around.

"I have to ask why? Steele is Obama with a R."

It's called infiltrating the enemy. We need to take over the ole GOP, NOT run a third party. Sarah MUST get in there in order to take over.

Do you really think Sarah will allow Steele give the orders? I think not.

She will be giving the orders. God Bless Sarah and God Bless America.

"I’m not going to bother reading your crap, spanky. Maybe some cultist cheerleaders will though. Keep gum flapping, but I’m bored with you."

That was the best comeback you can come up with?

Yep, I remember Maggie's famous and oft quoted resignation speech. In fact, iirc, Palin's was almost word for word.

Damn, you're right. I'd forgotten that Reagan quit halfway through his first term as governor in order to go home and write a book.

Believe it or not, that was a good day for him. He usually decides to not respond at all. I guess now you can see why. Just bring up Hunter endorsing the Huckster or DeMint backing Grahamnesty, Myth, and RomneyCare, and he gets as quiet as a clam. You see, only Sarah Palin is required to be 100% pure; otherwise, she's just another RINO. Or so says pissypants.

I’m not sure why you are latching on to Peggy Noonan here.

Your the one who cited her as an example of a conservative. It doesn't suprise me any that you consider her opinion when searching for a viable candidate.

In 2008, Obama won 20 percent of people claiming they are conservatives.

Fixed it for you.

No, I cited her as one of many in the intelligensia who sold 0bama to conservatives who read them and are influenced by them. George Will is another. It doesn’t matter if you want to identify them as conservative or not. What matters is they hold (or at least held) sway over conservatives.

But you are trying to twist this self-evident fact into meaning something else entirely, and then base a strawman argument on it.

No, I cited her as one of many in the intelligensia

You used the term 'conservative intelligensia', and then you cited Peggy Noonan as your example.

who sold 0bama to conservatives who read them and are influenced by them

Peggy Noonan isn't a conservative. She carries no influence over conservatives.

What matters is they hold (or at least held) sway over conservatives.

No they didn't. Conservatives don't vote for radical leftists like Obama. And conservative aren't influenced by frauds like Noonan.

But you are trying to twist this self-evident fact into meaning something else entirely, and then base a strawman argument on it.

You labeled Peggy Noonan as a conservative, and now you're pretending my argument is a strawman. You're argument revolves around the kooky idea that the only viable candidates are candidates that frauds like Peggy Noonan approve of. You even tried to reinforce this inane argument by claiming that frauds like Peggy Noonan hold sway over conservatives.

“Conservative” was implied with “intelligensia.”
Noonan, George Will, et al have a lot of influence over mainstream Republicans who consider themselves conservatives. I’m not going to continue a semantic argument with you. You’re acting like a Democrat who’s down 20 points in the polls.
