Obama says Fox News 'destructive' for U.S. growth

WASHINGTON President Barack Obama on Tuesday called Fox News Network "ultimately destructive for the long-term growth" of the United States, reopening a long-running feud with the conservative cable network that has led the U.S. conservative media's opposition to his administration.
In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Obama accused Australian-born Rupert Murdoch, Fox's chairman and chief executive, of being more concerned about profits than the well-being of the United States.
He also compared Murdoch to William Randolph Hearst, the newspaper baron whose sensational publications produced the term 'yellow' journalism in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Obama was asked in the Rolling Stone interview whether Fox was a good institution for America and democracy.
"Look, as president, I swore to uphold the Constitution, and part of that Constitution is a free press. We've got a tradition in this country of a press that oftentimes is opinionated. The golden age of an objective press was a pretty narrow span of time in our history. Before that, you had folks like Hearst who used their newspapers very intentionally to promote their viewpoints," Obama said.
"I think Fox is part of that tradition it is part of the tradition that has a very clear, undeniable point of view. It's a point of view that I disagree with. It's a point of view that I think is ultimately destructive for the long-term growth of a country that has a vibrant middle class and is competitive in the world. But as an economic enterprise, it's been wildly successful. And I suspect that if you ask Mr. Murdoch what his No. 1 concern is, it's that Fox is very successful."

Ugghhhhh... somebody make this asshat go away!!!
Foreigner Soros = good, foreigner Murdoch = evil! I absolutely detest this fake in the WH..........
More of the Obama thuggery--I was looking at David Limbaugh's new book about Obama the other day. There has been so much of it that it's easy to forget many of the examples, but Fox was one of the first targets.
0 is hurting himself here. FOX is successful, he is not. Hmmmmmm. What would an intelligent person deduce from that?
Oshama’s finger should be pointing at himself rather than Fox. Typical for a person living in a delusion.
Growth in Onamaspeak isn’t about growing a good economy. He sees FOX as the reason that his growth of communism is failing.
What get me about these communist idiot they never learn..The Clinton's tried and now the Muslim is trying to finish the destruction of America..Go where you belong Obama and that is not heaven..
“Can we call it FDS?”
Uh, maybe not. Us old gals remember a “personal hygiene” product by that name!
He is as sane as any Bisexual man with a cocaine habit ever was...
When are you planning to start?

George Clooney and Sean Penn star in Citizen Ailes.
Coming to theaters, Fall 2012.
Hussein sounds more and more like a paranoid dictator. His RAT associates need to recommend psychiatric help for their Messiah, IMO.
He’s doing more to destroy the RAT party than anyone in history. Let’s hope he succeeds ASAP.
” He is as sane as any Bisexual man with a cocaine habit ever was...”
true dat
To paraphrase:
Never get into a fight with someone who buys satellite time by the year................
So it is not the fault of GEORGE W. BUSH anymore?
QUICK!!! Call and tell him it is not his fault anymore.
I am sure he will be relieved. If I were him, I would show just how by letting my Pit Bull Terrier relieve himself on a printed copy of the Rolling Stone Interview!!!
When President Jefferson was badly attacked by the press, he was counseled to make destructive statements about the press. Instead, he said, “I love the sound of democracy.” Obama despises the least disagreement with his Islamic policies.
Especially after one of his "own" crapped in his Easter basket with the "exhausted" dissertation on his failures.
Now it's moving on to the next boogie-man and blaming it all on "We just haven't been able to get our message out there because of the biased Fox News" talking points.
