Barack Obama heckled in Manhattan By: Carol E. Lee September 22, 2010 08:09 PM EDT
NEW YORK President Barack Obama was heckled multiple times during his speech at a Democratic fundraiser in one of the countrys most Democratic cities.
Demonstrators held signs that said Broken Promises and interrupted his speech to protest AIDS funding and the stalled repeal of dont ask, dont tell, the policy banning gays from serving openly in the military that Obama has promised to lift.
Obama showed a flash of irritation after he was forced repeatedly off his prepared remarks. We listened to you, we heard your point, he told the young lady who continued shouting at him about AIDS funding. This is not the time or the place to do what youre talking about.
Obama also tried to make the most of the moment by pointing out that Republicans would be further away from the protestors on both of the issues they were complaining about.
His administration has increased AIDS funding, he said, but the people that potentially will take over will cut AIDS funding if we dont focus on this election.
The dont ask, dont tell protest came moments later, as Obama began talking about how incomes for the middle class fell by 5 percent a statement he had to repeat twice.
The president pointed out that this week Senate Republicans blocked Democrats

Grow up......
What? He increased AIDS funding? Does he mean research dollars? They already get twice as much as heard disease - something that kill 100X more people.
A Bronx cheer in Manhattan?
I assume you mean “Heart” disease. Perhaps you could correct your typo.
I’m talkin’ bad ‘bout chou, dawg.
Not impressed. They are whining that he is not liberal enough.
Sounds like he was being heckled by disappointed former supporters.
Still blaming and pointing his finger at those meany-bad republicans though.
What a sniveling whiner.
He hasn't seen heckled until November.
The radical left is mad he isn't more full tilt wacko.
Much of the rest of America is horrified already.
Too funny. Bambi can’t continue his radical leftward policies because even ordinary Dems were begging for a halt - and now the radical Dems are throwing rotten tomatoes at him because he didn’t give them the unicorn and the rainbow he had promised them. What’s a poor Muslim boy to do?
This may explain his heavy shift to Islam. He knows he can’t keep the radical left happy without going way beyond even the Harry Reid comfort zone. So maybe the thing to do is cultivate a foreign entity...
All I can say is THANK GOD it takes 60 votes to get something through the Senate. If it was a simple majority, we’d be completely sunk after these two years.
Something to bring a smile to your face.
Heckled by DNC fundsters because they are racists.
Heckled by leftist aholes because the Commie in Chief is not quite enough like Stalin or Hitler, both of whom were leftists who persecuted homosexuals, by the way.
Can’t imagine why NYC is in the shole it is in with leftist clowns like this.
a typical didactic-”and for your homework tonight”..........ahahahahahhaha
Wait until the far left takes a page out of the Tea Party manual a starts putting the hurt on Democrats at town meetings and rallies. Compared to the uncouth behavior of leftists, the Tea Party folks will appear as if they’ve gone to finishing school.
It’s coming and there won’t be enough popcorn to pass around when it does.
I'm surprised he didn't assertively stomp his little sissy foot, issue a faggy fatwah upon the protesters, and then launch a laughably limp-wristed jihad at the naughty, naughty screechers. Whazzup wit ma homey? He beez da prezadizzle!
LOL
The problem with stories like this is that the MSM is starting to try and sell Baraq as “middle of the road” caught between the Tea Party and leftist zealots.
Remember when Bush used to say “folks” don’t want this or that. He meant democrats but he was too much of a gentleman to directly point the finger. Don’t know if that was a good strategy but I guess we’ll see if it works for Osama er...I mean Obama.
The Kenyan also brought a nasty lightning storm to Manhattan with him, too.
