Paradigm Shift in Politics Lost on Establishment

My immediate response to liberals who emerge from their Ouija boards to denounce Christine O'Donnell as a one-time dabbler in witchcraft is: At this point in our history, I'd vote for Elmira Gulch before I'd vote for another statist masquerading as a Republican.

The fact that O'Donnell might have done some things in her past she's not particularly proud of would make her fairly normal. I'm more concerned with where she is now, and she seems like a reliable Christian conservative with her head on straight about both religion and politics. In her television appearances, she's been quite impressive -- energetic, articulate and right on the issues.

But Christine O'Donnell isn't really the issue here. The more interesting and relevant stories arising out of her primary victory are: 1) the liberals' efforts to paint her -- along with other mainstream conservatives, including the entire tea party movement -- as extreme and, frankly, a bit wacko when the real extremism resides in the Democratic Party; 2) the liberals' efforts to fabricate a major schism in the GOP when, in fact, the real dissension of consequence is occurring in their own Democratic Party; and 3) establishment Republicans disgruntled over their inability to control the selection of candidates going forward, their apparent anxiety about the entire tea party phenomenon as rocking their world, and their resulting collusion with the liberal establishment to discredit the upstarts, who are beyond their power to manage and manipulate.

Thanks David Limbaugh for the defense. However, at what point do we finally see media people focus their attention on the self proclaimed “bearded Marxist” Chris Coons?

My wife says she can generally tell a demonRAT. The more well-to-do ones have that permanent sneer and elitist air bout them, the less well-to-do have the pie-eyed stare and an unwashed or overperfumed air about them.

But the article is correct. The elitist ruling class don’t get it.

I will vote for my dog before I vote for another RINO, but since that is an invalid vote, I will write-in my own name.

O’Donnell was talking about some high school date in high school. I’ve seen ads attacking tea partiers who got behind on credit card bills. The left is attacking based on tea party candidates being regular people, with regular experiences that Americans have in this degraded culture in difficult economic times. They try to make what is normal “wierd” because it is wierd not to have people of a “certain type and class” running. They insist that conservatives be so squeeky clean they are abnormal, while letting Dems have homosexual prostitution rings in their basements or millions in graft pouring into their bank accounts. Then if a conservative acts as a lobbyist to make some cash, they attack them for that.

I don’t know if the independents are there yet and realize the hypocrisy. I hope they are. Conservatives should realize it and vote for the person that will do the right thing for them and their country.

David, describes the current wave of political action
to a T. The media coverage of it, does indeed show us
all we need to know, that we are on the right track.
Now it’s time to go all out, and we can’t stop til
2013 brings a shining future for our prosperity.

“Christine O’Donnell as a one-time dabbler in witchcraft Republican.”

This brewhaha over witchcraft is so absurd.
What teenagers, often at sleepover parties, did not
dabble in fun things like witchcraft and seances.
I bet she also went trick or treating !!! OHHH the humanity.

I might, however, be interested in what Obambie was doing as a teen, other then being trained as an America despising neo-Marxist.

No one cares. I’m sure they’re talking about Coons in Delaware. But why talk about Chris Coons? They don’t care about the race, they care about Christine. Christine can run ads in Delaware calling Coons a Bearded Marxist if she thinks that she can win nonideolgicals with that, or any votes she doesn’t already have. But why give Coons the national spotlight? I like Christine v Rove and Christine v Maher.

Mr. Limbaugh writes: “I once feared that baby boomers were in jeopardy of forfeiting our liberty because it was mostly handed to us with no requirement of sacrifice in return, but I no longer do.”

Respectfully suggest that Mr. Limbaugh consider the sacrifice of baby boomers from 1965 - 1975 in Southeast Asia.

Our Laz nailed it the other day. The battle lines have been drawn. On the one side are the democrats and “moderate”, establishment republicans and on the other side is “We, the People.” (I paraphased Laz’s statements)

O’Donnell made the very valid point that she struggled with her mortgage like many other Americans. She, unlike Castle, and Coon hasn’t been sucking at the public trough for the last umpteen years.

My version:

The elitists want control.
We the People want freedom.
The two are incompatible.

For weeks we’ve been hearing stories about Christine’s awful, terrible baggage and how she couldn’t POSSIBLY win an election because of it.

Now the dirt is coming out into the open ... and ... this is it? This is the scary stuff we were warned about?

Sweet. Come on, November!

Your Post #12

Excellent...O’Donnel and her staff should see this, the pick could be most useful in her campaign, it thoroughly contrasts conservative and liberal. Very impressive work Sir!
