Tea Party Express:

Lisa Murkowski Not Done Playing With the Toy Daddy Gave Her in 2002

Murkowski Shows Arrogance Defying the Voters in Attempt to

Keep Seat She Feels She is Entitled To

The Tea Party Express (website: www.TeaPartyExpress.org) issued the following statement in response to defeated Sen. Lisa Murkowski's decision to defy the will of Alaska's voters and mount a desperate write-in campaign:

"Lisa Murkowski just doesn't get it.  Part of the voter frustration with her was the sense of entitlement she has had for the Senate seat gifted to her by her father.

"Apparently Lisa Murkowski is not done playing with the toy her daddy gifted to her in 2002.

"The problem is, this isn't a toy that a father gives to his daughter.  It's a U.S. Senate seat that belongs to 'We The People' and the people have spoken and already rejected Murkowski's candidacy in 2010."

The Tea Party Express reminds the media that it closed out its campaign for Joe Miller by spending significant sums of money to air this TV ad pointing out the arrogance of the Murkowski dynasty in thinking this seat belonged to them instead of the people:

She and her buddy Rove ought to like that little dig.

GOP needs to level artillery at folks that are doing this. Make them sign something before they get any financial support. Make their aides sign it too.

The best way to get rid of the entitlement mentality is to eliminate it at the top first and then work your way down...

Yes, that is true! BUT she has snubbed her nose at the primary process and the Alaskan voters.

GOP establishment probably suggested it while they were up there sniffing around during the counting of the absentee ballots.

The “blue-bloods” have always treated the conservatives similar to the way the Dems treat the minorities. Useful during the election, but otherwise inferior. They never liked Reagan and his “voodoo” economics (quote from daddy Bush).

Control of the senate is important to them, but not as important as making sure that the “moderates” can ignore the conservatives.

Will the Senate Leadership kick her out of the caucus now?

Can they do that?

The Democrats did it with Traficant, I think, Cold Cash Jefferson too in the House.

...and she Might split the GOP vote enough to elect a Democrat. (I doubt that)

What is happening this time is that some really bad RINOS are being run out of the party and that is overdue.

Sorry, little correction there!

It does seem that many politicians from both parties have a sense of regal entitlement as in "My seat." They can only have this with the connivance of their local party leadership. That leadership is often purchased one way or another with money. Time again for the guillotine?

She lost the republican primary, therefore I think she is hoping to win this with democrat voters. That tells you all you need to know...

Boise Tea Party endorsed Republican Raul Labrador is in a tight race against Nancy Pelosi supporting Democrat Walt Minnick for the first congressional district in Idaho. You all may recognize the name “Minnick” as the token Democrat endorsed by the Tea Party Express in a transparent bid to appear “non-partisan”, even though Raul Labrador stands for all Tea Party ideals, while Minnick has a history of supporting Nancy Pelosi and Big Government. If reelected, Minnick will vote for Pelosi as Speaker. Labrador most certainly will not.

Walt Minnick did not seek Tea Party support, and he took the opportunity to insult the Tea Party and reject the Tea Party Express’ endorsement. Please join me in demanding accountability from the Tea Party Express, and endorsing the better candidate in ID-1, Republican Raul Labrador. It is time they righted this wrong.

It may make the difference in the race, which may make the difference in who controls the House. Wouldn’t it be a shame if Labrador lost because the Tea Party Express muddied the waters in Idaho, and Minnick cast the tie-breaking vote to reelect Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House?

Republicans are poised to make gains, but taking back the House is NOT assured. We need every vote against Pelosi we can get, still. The only plan for stopping 0bama is taking back the House. This ill-considered endorsement of Minnick jeopardizes that. And for what? So the Tea Party Express can claim it doesn’t care about party labels? Because Walt Minnick does, and he will caucus with Nancy Pelosi.

And if the Tea Party Express truly makes it’s endorsements based on limited government principles, then shouldn’t it endorse the candidate in the race who shares all of those values, not just one one or two occasions? Shouldn’t the Tea Party Express endorse the best candidate in the race, the one who will help us the most to save America from 0bama’s mounting debt?

Can we really afford to throw away any district?
Why are the people of Idaho district 1 not important to the Tea Party Express?

Isn’t it time the Tea Party Express does what it right for the people of Idaho, and all those who have given money to retake the House from Nancy Pelosi?

Isn’t it time you posted a vanity with all your grieviances about the TPX instead of throwing monkey wenches in threads that are about other issues other than the one you are stuck on?

Thanks

Lisa: "Daddy I want a senate seat!!"
Frank: "How for the senate seat, Alaska?"
AK Voters: "It's not for sale"
Frank: "Name Your Price"
Lisa: "Daddy I want it!!!
Frank: "I'm working on it, sweetheart. There's only one senate seat up and the whole state wants it!
Lisa: I don't care!! I want it now!! You never give me anything I want! You hate me!
Frank: "Sweetheart, give me a day or two."
Lisa: No NOW!! I don't care how, I want it NOW!!

Isn’t it time the TPX detracts it’s endorsement of Tea Party hating, Nancy Pelosi supporting Democrat Walt Minnick?
Your organization is on the wrong side on this one, and you guys did it for cheap political reasons. So you can release press statements touting your support for both Republicans and Democrats, and try to win the affections of the MSM. Well how is that working out for you?

Do your god damned homework and Retract the I’ll considered endorsement!
Your organization is doing real harm to an actual real Tea Party candidate on the November ballot in Idaho. He may lose because of YOU, and Republicans may come up short in the House because of it.

These things have real consequences, and I will continue to be here to bring attention to this outrage and hold the Tea Party Express accountable for this. And others will join me, because we are on the right side of this. Your organization is supporting Nancy Pelosi’s continued reign as Speaker through Walt Minnick. Now admit you made a mistake, and take back the endorsement. It is better to admit you were wrong than to throw the next two years back to Pelosi and 0bama.
