Is this just citizens or are they counting the Mexicans too? If so, they must be giving the Mexs unemployment.

Been looking for a LONG time now. Had a score of interviews - ten years ago I was batting better than .500, now nothing.

In the meantime I've tried construction, appraising etc. Even worked a while in a machine shop.

And I have an advanced degree.

Its getting pretty discouraging, and more so because the bureaucratic parasites in local & state government don't seem any closer to understanding how they are destroying the economy than they did 3 years ago.

Start your own business.

I got out of the military and a sports career and couldn’t find a decent job as an engineer (which I was) because I had not practicd as an engineer and was some time from school.

So I bought worn-out drilling rig and went to work for my neighbor, using some guys I knew from the gym as my co-roughnecks.

Nearly died a couple times, but now I’m well-off.

The only sure cure is to raise the hell out of taxes on all those rich guys and those exploitive businesses!

Yeah, that'll work!

Yeah, I've been down that road a couple of times - ain't as easy as some think.

However, I've got another idea I'm gonna give a try - if the ol' chassis will hold out.

Luckily the wife is doing well, despite the current crop of clowns in Sacto & DC.

Don’t worry. The green jobs are right around the corner. There will also be a lot of jobs coming as a result of the multi billion dollar bonds that California issued for fetal stem cell research. If that is not enough the bullet train will create even more jobs. In addition to these new economy jobs there is always the marijuana industry. Trust Arnold! /s

Labor unions, liberals, and illegals have run the state of California into the abyss.

Just another 87.6% and you’ll achieve eutopia, California. You’ll all be lying around in the sun just like the Eloi. The women will all look just like Yvette Mimeaux, and the men like Rod Taylor. It’ll be terrific, you’ll love it.

I actually went to a hamburger joint in Santa Cruz that was like that. Place seemed to be staffed exclusively by lesbians with PMS. A Hamburger and fries cost about $15. I later heard it referred to as the “attitude tax.” I’m not sure whether the term applies to the attitude, the price, or the combination of the two.

It kind of seemed like the people who worked in the place didn’t like hamburgers, didn’t like meat itself, and didn’t like the people who came in to buy hamburgers.

Amozon warehouse in Fernley, Nevada is paying over $15 an hour starting wage for workers. Don’t get benefits, but they are working 50 hours a week right now.
Cost of housing- to buy or rent- isn’t bad. Can get a 1700 sq ft house on 1/3 acre or more for about $160,000.
