candidate for President of the United States. Speech after speech showed a candidate with increasing momentum as primary race after primary race concluded. And then came the nomination, more speeches, culminating in an election night victory.
According to the person sitting across from me, those were incredibly exciting times, even for one who had been a participant with three previous presidential hopefuls. Barack Obama appeared to move from one city to the next effortlessly, gaining confidence and motivation with each campaign stop. He was remarkable to watch. He took the script, elevated it with his oration, left the crowds screaming for more, and then would do it all over again, time after time after time. On the campaign trail, Obama is a machine.
What a shocker - anonymous confirmation that our Kenyan in Chief is a lazy, thin-skinned narcissist, and his wife is a (b)itch. These people cannot leave soon enough.
“And the more he loses it the more dangerous he becomes.”
Indeed!
What you have to remember about Obama is that when he went to college racial quotas were still legal. He got into college because he was black. He got into law school because he was black. He got onto the law review, because he was black. But remember to liberals just letting them in is not enough... they have to graduate too! So regardless of how poorly they do... they are passed through.
I would be surprised if Obama has much more than a high school education. Remember, that Obama himself admitted he was high on cocaine through most of college.
Mrs. Prince of Space
no big shock here
He never had “it” to lose.
A fun, interesting read that sounded genuine even if unsourced.
However, his feeling that Obama would win should he run in 2012 is way off base. the Obama stuff only works once. If he ran again, he would finally have a record that someone could run against.
As for him beating Palin by 20 points. Ha, ha. That’s what they said about Christine, isn’t it.
She would have him for lunch and an ice cream for dessert.
So, Obama is losing it and Michelle hates being First Lady.
Boy, if Shakespeare were alive, imagine what he could do with THIS one!
I believe that, IF Obama runs again, he absolutely can win. I have a lot of liberal friends and acquaintances. They, in the main, still believe in “the won”, and buy every excuse made for his mess-ups. They watch CNN & MSNBC and read at Huff.Po. Critics are “nutcases”, racists or bitter-clingers. Yep, they will proudly vote for him again, even those feeling the pinch of economic woes.
The kicker is that he is way more white and arab than black. (quadroon, octaroon?)
Not sure I agree. In 2012, unlike 2008, I think people will have the context of how Obama has governed. The closest analogy is that of Jimmy Carter. Good campaigner, but he couldn’t talk his way out of 4 years of decline and failure.
Carter won in ‘76 largely as an unknown quantity riding a wave of post-Watergate disillusionment with the ‘Pubs. Obama was a largely unknown quantity in 2008 riding a tide of anti-Bush feelings, which tainted the ‘Pub brand. So ‘76 and ‘08 match up. In ‘80 we had a strong candidate with national appeal running against a President who was clearly out of his depth and had lost the confidence of the voters. I’m not sure we’ll have a similar alignment in 2012. Obama is a stronger (staged) personality than Carter on the campaign trail, and I don’t see anyone waiting in the wings to take on the role of RWR (no, Palin isn’t it).
Good analysis. But while Carter and Obama were both incompetent, Obama is taking us further to the Left faster than Carter ever did. I do think (despite all that) that Obama will be a strong contender in 2012 and that it will be a close rase. Unlike you, I don’t think he has it cinched.
I think that Mitch Daniels (Gov of Indiana) or Chris Christie would be strong challengers to Obama. Both are very plain spoken and exhude credibility. Obama may be a good campaigner, but I think he has demonstrated he isn’t up to governing. Unlike you, I think Romney would also do well, but he definitely has more baggage. Agree that Palin and Huckabee would get slaughtered—add Gingrich to that list too.
“When I asked this insider if the media gave candidate Obama an assist throughout his campaign, it elicits a sly smile. “
Obama had the MSM in his pocket. Then he kicked them around a little. Then they kicked him around a little. There’s some love lost between Obama and some of his highly placed bots. I think the Dems want to swap Hillary in - sure they want their 40 year legacy but I think Obama has overpopulated a location ‘under the bus’.
