The Obama Heyday Is Over
The Wall Street Journal ^ | 09-10-10 | KIMBERLEY A. STRASSEL

Barack Obama hit the campaign trail this week to resurrect some of that hopey-changey stuff and to complain that his critics talk about him "like a dog." Turns out the president wasn't, in fact, referring to his own party.

Voters might be forgiven the confusion. It isn't as if Democrats have been showing Mr. Obama much love. Quite the opposite. Seven weeks from Election Day, the vulnerable wing of the majority has finally found itself a campaign issue: blunt opposition to Mr. Obama and his agenda.

Has it only been 20 months? Candidate Obama swelled into office with an ambitiously liberal plab. He promised his party that his legislative items would be more than policy triumphs; they'd be political triumphs. Stick with me, he said, and we'll get credit for leadership. Voters will come to love this stuff. Polls will improve. I'll campaign in your district.

I think when all the personal data he has spent millions to hide is brought into the light, history will not be that kind.

He will be looked at as pathetic and despised. And everything ugly and vile in between. Blacks will be his biggest detractors for what they found him out to be.

I am pleased to see the Obama bashing, yes, but we must never ever ever EVER lose sight of the endgame: repealing and replacing his miserable agenda with a proper and Constitutional government.

Self-government, a destruction of bureaucracy that makes law—usurping Congress’ responsibility (piece by piece or, if needed, to let it all collapse in one fell swoop like the Berlin Wall), and free markets.

That, in the end, is what is needed—it only begins with repealing Hussein’s mess.

A long row to hoe, but we can do it.

He dodged the question today that asked why his own party not the Republicans are obstructing his Agenda....

or the real question that was never asked...

Mr. President why do you think the American people have rejected your agenda?

All the Republicans are doing is siding with the people.

In general, we are a country of dumbasses, led by a cabal of egomaniacs, cushioned only by bare majority of realists held in check by a shadow of conscience.

That’s good!

What`s this with all the negative “DOG” comments coming out of Obama? Seems he does not like dogs, that he thinks that`s the worst possible thing you could call someone is a dog?

He mentioned DOG twice in a couple days in a very negative tone.

I have heard it said that Muslims do not like dogs??

Then all that phony crapola about the kids having an allergy to dogs, they had to get some special breed? They could not rescue a nice dog from the pound?

At any rate it seems he does not like dogs, certainly does not think very highly of them, got a dog as a prop is all.

All part of his fooling the useful idiot supporters. He has absolutely no core values that are not ugly and evil. He’s not normal. Most people love their dogs and would never equate them with anything negative. I’d bet he ignores his own dog when in private.

I’ve noticed how quiet she’s been lately. For 4 years she’s held the reins and she has been an utter disaster. I don’t think there’s any love lost between the WH and Madame Prime minister. Obama can lay a good portion of the blame for this trainwreck squarely at her feet.

She goes in November, he follows shortly thereafter. I’m waiting for a crack in all that teflon protection he’s gotten for all those skeletons in his closet. Next year will be a fullscale meltdown as the rats jump ship en masse.
