Barack Obama hit the campaign trail this week to resurrect some of that hopey-changey stuff and to complain that his critics talk about him "like a dog." Turns out the president wasn't, in fact, referring to his own party.
Voters might be forgiven the confusion. It isn't as if Democrats have been showing Mr. Obama much love. Quite the opposite. Seven weeks from Election Day, the vulnerable wing of the majority has finally found itself a campaign issue: blunt opposition to Mr. Obama and his agenda.
Has it only been 20 months? Candidate Obama swelled into office with an ambitiously liberal plab. He promised his party that his legislative items would be more than policy triumphs; they'd be political triumphs. Stick with me, he said, and we'll get credit for leadership. Voters will come to love this stuff. Polls will improve. I'll campaign in your district.
For the heck of it I watched RSO on netflix. It’s truly frightening/discouraging to see who has the power to vote in this country.
Give it up dude, I have a gub and I’m ready to use it.
Zer0 rulz, he's the teller. ;-)
Was there EVER an Obama heyday?
Must have missed it among all the socialist takeovers of businesses, the inflated rhetoric, the absurd spending, the chatter of an army of “czars,” the declining position in world affairs, the weeping of our allies, and the laughter of our enemies.
Actually, it's a different way of saying "pablum".
This ought to be good come November, watching Dems turn themselves inside out saying they didn’t vote for Obama care. None of them did, it happened by magic.
Agreed.....Both Congress and dirty diapers need changing for the same reasons...
Exactly. If the GOP candidates let them get away with this, they deserve to lose. All they need to remind their districts is that the first vote these Dems will make when they get back is for Speaker, and the Dem WILL vote for Pelosi. The only way to prevent more disastrous bills like Stimulus and Obamacare is to vote out their local Dem incumbent. The key is ousting the leftist leadership and the only way to help due this is to vote out the local Dem. Make the race national, but give the district voters that they can do their part with a single local vote.
I think it was the few weeks between the Greek columns and telling Joe the Plumber he was going to give his wealth to the parasites.
Indeed.
It’s bot ab ubcommob typo, what with the “b” beibg bext to the “n” ob the stabdard keynoard.
That said, “plab” is a fortuitous portmanteau word — the bastard offspring of “plan” and “pabulum.”
Dingle-Harry’s “best gun range in the country” was an underused, overfunded ($61 million-with-an-M) bribe to Clark County. It’s currently losing money and isn’t projected to recoup its cost until around 2020 — by which time the State Reptile should be resting uncomfortably far, far under the desert.
Yeah, and your g-job, union-protected neighbors were living it up while you tried to figure out how to survive. Ain't class warfare grand?!
The last two times Obama visited Wisconsin Tom Barrett and Russ Feingold had previous engagements and could't arrange time to be seen in public with him.
I think when all the personal data he has spent millions to hide is brought into the light, history will not be that kind.
PLAB: Professional Liar And Bastard
The heyday was when the RINO GOP (led by Romney)
attacked Gov. Palin (ON THE EVE OF ELECTION 2008)
to throw the election to Obama.
America should curse both POS, forever.
Too late for them, and too late for our country, unless the Democrats come back and reverse Obamacare after congress reconvenes. And restore the Bush tax cuts. And slash spending.
Otherwise, there’s no way a Republican majority can override Obama’s veto until January 2013. And who knows how far down the road to destruction we’ll be by then?
I liked her (Strassel) a lot until she did that hit piece on Sean Hannity and his charity. Since then I’ve had a hard time reading or watching her.
