[history]
Barack Obama hit the campaign trail this week to resurrect some of that hopey-changey stuff and to complain that his critics talk about him "like a dog." Turns out the president wasn't, in fact, referring to his own party.
Voters might be forgiven the confusion. It isn't as if Democrats have been showing Mr. Obama much love. Quite the opposite. Seven weeks from Election Day, the vulnerable wing of the majority has finally found itself a campaign issue: blunt opposition to Mr. Obama and his agenda.
Has it only been 20 months? Candidate Obama swelled into office with an ambitiously liberal plab. He promised his party that his legislative items would be more than policy triumphs; they'd be political triumphs. Stick with me, he said, and we'll get credit for leadership. Voters will come to love this stuff. Polls will improve. I'll campaign in your district.

Not a moment in too soon. In fact it may already be too late.

I am looking forward to telling all the Obama supporters “Conservatives won. Get over it!” Payback is sweet.

"Candidate Obama swelled into office with an ambitiously liberal plab."

I know what you mean, but I think they already realize that it’s coming, big time. :-)

Baraq needs to campaign more.
I want to see him coast to coast and border to border.
More Obama!
Get him off the golf course and onto the stage!

Obastard can still do plenty of damage to the US with regulations and moratoriums on offshore drilling.

In general, we are a country of dumbasses, led by a cabal of egomaniacs, cushioned only by bare majority of realists held in check by a shadow of conscience.

Candidate Obama swelled into office with an ambitiously liberal plab. Plab? Not in my 1950 Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary.

Democrats will run against Obama’s agenda and say whatever it takes to win. If they somehow win, everything changes on January 21, 2011 when they will develop amnesia and follow Madame Pelosi’s orders once again.

Plab —> typo for plan. Good editors are hard to find.

Frankly, I don't think that almost none of the Democrats running away from Obama are sincere. They are just going to say anything to gain or keep power.

And he will. Getting the reigns back is the first step, but undoing the damage is going to be a complex and difficult task.
