It is Glenn Beck's most audacious stunt yet: This Saturday, in the company of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the National Rifle Association and others, the Fox News Channel host will stand in the sacred shadow not just of the Lincoln Memorial, but of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. himself, near the spot where King delivered his "I Have a Dream" speech 47 years earlier to the exact day.
During this event -- billed as "Restoring Honor" -- Beck will aim to "reclaim the civil rights moment" for his cause, and in the process he will continue what he's been doing for the last 18 months: bending the history of 20th-century America like a Philadelphia soft pretzel.
The revisionist message behind "Restoring Honor" is nothing new for the conservative shock jock. In the year and half since President Obama took office, Beck has led his loyal followers on a journey not just to "reclaim" civil rights but much more audaciously to rewrite the sweeping narrative arc of American history from the time of the Founding Fathers forward.

Secularization is precisely why we, as a nation, are in the situation we find ourselves in 2010.
Do you think the evil of the left simply stems from their political actions?
Do you think the evil of the spiritual world plays no role in ours?
Do you not find it interesting that the decline of our nation began as Christ was taken out of the public square?
Do you not see that it matters not whether it is liberalism or Islam or anything else that seeks to both separate us from God either here or in the here after, all things that seek to tear down Christianity also seek to tear down the most successful nation on Earth, a nation founded and sustained by Christian ideals.
America IS a Christian nation.
When we are no longer a Christian nation we are no longer America, we will cease to exist. There is no such thing as "Secular America" there are just secularist and non Christians that we allow to practice in peace as long as they respect what this nation stands for and how it conducts itself. That is being torn asunder.
You are both a Christian and a Conservative, this should not be an alien concept to you.
Separate the Secular from the Spiritual and you destroy this Nation.

We are in an environment at this time in history of America, where Revolutions must take place, not the revolution where we all meet and take up arms against one another--but the Revolution that will take place tomorrow on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial--i's about our freedoms, the republic for the people by the people of the people--freedom of assembly, freedom of speech for ALL people, over-taxation, patriotism, freedom to sing God Bless America and not be hushed when standing beside a memorial..it's about what it means to be an American! - life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. You've heard it all--we just haven't experience any lately especially under this administration and their water carrying media who as James Cameron said recently needs to play to--a blue collar mentality.[huh]
That is what it is all about. And if took Beck to organize the gathering--then so be it. Someone of power in the media had to do it...like a pony express rider on media horseback. It is bigger than just one person--let's not shoot the messenger. People long for a leader that they feel understands..is like them.
The Tea Party groups are making an impact--a grass roots bunch of "old people with free time on their hands"-they have been described as..the Left is now afraid, really afraid! That's the Revolution and it just started.
