Daisy Khan is one of the brainiacs behind the Ground Zero Mosque the Burlington Landing-Gear Receptacle That Place in Lower Manhattan Everybody Is Talking About. She also has perhaps the most confusingly evocative name ever. This morning, she appeared on This Week with Christiane Amanpour.
Displaying the cool impartiality and journalistic rigor that are making viewers everywhere call for the return of Jake Tapper, Amanpour asked Khan if America is Islamophobic:
“This is like a metastasized anti-Semitism, that’s what we feel right now,” Khan said. “It’s not even Islamophobia, it’s beyond Islamophobia; it’s hate of Muslims. And we are deeply concerned.”
Second most wrathful Khan ever? Good job staying on message, Daisy. “We can’t create a dialog and exchange ideas and nurture mutual respect until you bigots shut up!!” I don’t particularly like Harry Reid and Howard Dean, but I’d stop well short of calling them Muslim-haters.
One reason liberals and, um, “moderate” Muslims like Daisy Khan make such wonderful bedfellows is their unfailing instinct for declaring themselves victims. 9/11 families? What 9/11 families? The real victims here are people like Daisy. How dare you question her judgment? How dare you criticize her plans? Isn’t this America??

My only problem now is trying to figure out which of the labels the enemies of the US have given me is most appropriate -
Nazi, racist, homophobe, islamophobe, denier, teabagger - its a bit late - but which am I most? Which label goes first? Is there a protocol? Alphabetical?
Do they EVER have anything other than a personal attack?
They are just so tolerant - of everyone who agrees with them.

I just grabbed the Catholic Church as a religion for him to hide his communist government behind,(it could have been Baptists, Presbyterians, Anglicans). islam is masking it’s sharia using the privileges embodied in religion as the founding fathers envisioned, excepting they did not expect a competing government to hide in name of religion.
Sorry, it was not intended to slight the catholic church, but to demonstrate a competing government, islam and sharia, moving in to challenge the current government. Islam moves to supplant and replace existing governments in their imperialistic expansions.

We have confused ‘personal preferences’ with ‘hateful prejudices’. Is it possible to be civil when disagreeing with one another? Are we able to ‘agree to disagree’ - even in the wrestling through of an issue?
What is ethical, appropriate, considerate, and even loving about putting up a Mosque at Ground Zero? Put it somewhere else. Don’t stir up strife.
