I have had a couple of years in engineering (many year ago) but since 75 I have been involved in the ministry of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I appreciate a forum like free republic to have my beliefs challenged and where I can express in a logical way what I believe.
Jesus Christ took our place. He died for sin and rose from the dead. Have you met Him?
“Come unto Me all you who are weak and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
“If you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in you heart that God has raised Him from the dead you will be saved.”
“All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
“You must be born again.”

God, please forgive me, I believe that Jesus died for me and then rose from the dead, He paid the penalty for my sins. I deserve eternal punishment in hell when I consider my sinfulness in light of Your holiness. Please give me the gift of eternal life, come into my life and take control.
