Democrats again used former President George W. Bush as a foe in their latest TV ad campaign, driving home the point Republicans would restore policies that helped create the economic downturn.
The Democratic National Committee (DNC) released a new cable ad Friday that harped on their campaign message that the November midterm elections will be a choice between Democratic policies that will bring the country out of the recession versus Republican policies that helped created it.
No Republican is used in the ad aside from Bush -- who is shown saying "you can fool me but you can't get fooled again."
Debate has swirled whether or not using Bush as a campaign foil will work for Democrats in the 2010 cycle, two years after Bush left office.
Republicans -- especially those who worked in the Bush administration -- have said it is a tired argument that will not resonate with voters.
But many Democrats have countered, saying that using Bush will give voters a clearer idea of what they are voting for if they back Republicans in the fall. The DNC said the ad will air on national cable networks.
A Democratic official who released the ad said that "the ad -- 'Big Choices' -- amplifies the choice voters are going to face this fall between Democrats who have pulled the country out of the ditch and Bush Republican era policies which put us there."
The spot emphasizes that Democrats favor "investing" in manufacturing, education, a "clean energy" economy and want to put Main Street ahead of Wall Street.
Unemployment rates:
January 2001, just before Bush takes office 4.2%
January 2007, after six years under Bush and just before Pelosi takes control of spending 4.6%
January 2009, after two years under Pelosi and just before Obama Regime seizes power 7.6%
August 2010, after 19 months under Obama/Pelosi 9.6%
Exactly why would any sane person worry about removing the democrats responsible for this mess from power?
That's the basis of liberalism, lying to people and telling them that it isn't their fault.
Barney Frank's corruption was a part of the REASON for the economic collapse. The banking crisis was a case of willful neglect.
like mad dogs chasing their tails..
lost in the ‘bush’
“They refuse to ever accept responsibility. Spoiled petulant children are running the nation.”
NOTE VERSE 3
Isaiah 3 (New International Version)
1 See now, the Lord,
the LORD Almighty,
is about to take from Jerusalem and Judah
both supply and support:
all supplies of food and all supplies of water,
2 the hero and warrior,
the judge and prophet,
the soothsayer and elder,
3 the captain of fifty and man of rank,
the counselor, skilled craftsman and clever enchanter.
4 I will make boys their officials;
mere children will govern them.
5 People will oppress each other
man against man, neighbor against neighbor.
The young will rise up against the old,
the base against the honorable.
“They treat BDS like herpes, I dont think they are ever going to get over it.”
Yep. And is it just me, or doesn’t seem like when their “PDS” levels seem to subside a little, then their “BDS” levels rise, and vice versa? It’s like a see-saw...
George W. Bush is Keyser Soze!
They treat BDS like herpes, I dont think they are ever going to get over it.

ROTFLMAO!!
Now that’s funny!
At this rate, Bush will never be re-elected.
I meant verse 4......
When are we going to hear from Conservatives on the fact that the Congress was under Liberal control from Jan 2007 to the end of Bush’s Presidency and beyond? The last two years of Bush’s Presidency was when the economic collapse began to materialize. Thanks to Bwaney Fwank and Chris Dodd and other dimocRATS who allowed the housing market to collapse due to their forced lending policies (giving out loans to anyone with a room temperature IQ and no ability to repay the loan).
Gee, I didn’t know that Bush was running for any elected office again. I wonder who has been president for nearly two years. I wonder what party has controlled the House and Senate in the last two election cycles...
Here is what I would say in an election ad.
“The democrats have been in charge of Congress since 2006. A democratic president was elected in 2008 and started to govern in 2009. Since that time, the national economy plummeted, government spending spun out of control, government expanded immensely while the private sector who is most responsible for creating jobs shrunk and the national debt exploded. Our great and beloved nation is now facing bankruptcy because we cannot pay our bills or sustain the course our country is on. The recession under democrat leadership worsened. So if you want to see the economy get even worse, vote for the democrat. If you want the economy in our state to improve vote for me, the republican. If you want to see the economic outlook of the entire country improve, vote for me, the republican. My name is -———— and I approve this message.”
Saul Alinksy tactic. They find a target and demonize him/her.
They've done this same "personification of evil" attack against Newt Gingrich, Tom DeLay, Bill Frist, Donald Rumsfeld , Dick Cheney, et al...
They’ve done this same “personification of evil” attack ..... “
Nothing new under the sun — the ol’ “throw enough mud, and some of it is bound to stick” political tactic has been around since at least the Time of the Caesars....
Republican policies did not “put us here”.
It was instead the insane lending policies that the dems forced on the banks and insurers and financial institutions as well as the fiscal mismanagement of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
*The dems cant run on their voting records or accomplsihments because everything they have accomplished has been against what the American people have told them that they want or dont want.
The dems have governed against the collective will of the American people.
All the dems have is Bush and that horse is dead as a doornail because the dems have beat it to death.*
Fresh new ad by DNC PR Vice President Tommy Flanagan:
“It’s Taft’s fault!”
You see we’re still blaming the Republicans, but this time it’s not Bush...
Genius! Throw out the BLAME BUSH! pins.
Print me up 100 million “Taft (a Republican) is to Blame!” pins.
This is beyond parody. Why stop there? Put Nixon in an ad. Tell voters that the Republican ‘20s were responsible for the the Depression.
