......This administration will be blaming the unemployed for the Nation’s high unemployment rate..........

It can be argued that one reason for the continuing unemployment problem is the unemployed. Rather than take a job paying less than the previous they stay on the dole hoping things will turn up. Thus, the unemployed are responsible for the continued high unemployment.

Yes, Obambabot Steve jumped on Simon last week and yelled, “Whose side are you on?”

Like they are supposed to be taking sides?

The same program John F Kennedy, Ronald Reagan and GW Bush implemented.

Until the factories in crumbling cities start manufacturing things again, there's no real solution to the problem. It has to start with jobs, inner city manufacturing jobs, and build from the ground up

I rarely agree with Donald Trump, but recently he had an interview with Neil Cavuto where he echoed what I have been saying all along. Namely, that our political leaders craft the worst possible trade deals for this country.....they really could not be any worse.

On this, Trump was spot on.

Sorry-I started thinking like a rational person, rather than a raving lunatic Taquiyya practicing Muslim.

They do not seem to care any more about unemployment in The US.

Government employment is doing just fine. What else matters?

I showed this to my Wife last night and she says “So what? He’s working while he’s on Vacation”

Divorce her. Love's not worth THAT.

I heard that interview. Trump was spot on. China (and most of our other trading "partners") is playing us like a well tuned fiddle. Our trade policies, especially with China, are LUNACY! Very few things where Trump and I agree, but he was spot on with that commentary. The question remains: how does he get that cat to sit so still on his head?

This is the genuine tragedy of our current economic policies.

I can empathize. In the '93 recession, I lived in Dallas-Ft.Worth. After sending out over 400 resumes, I had a total of 10 job interviews

I worked overseas along about that time. Nicaragua, Israel, Saudi, Indonesia, Taiwan, eastern Europe. Made great money, too. Lots of that stuff available now for techies if you don't mind traveling. I'm still seeing some stuff in Huntsville, AL, with certain defense contractors, too, but you've got to be squeaky clean.

According to Pelosi this will be good for the recovery as it means that more unemployment checks will be circulated. This should definitely jump start our economy.

Well, yes, but Pelosi wants to pass a bill, then find out what's in it, first. After all, 500 million people are losing their jobs every month. She wants to investigate the people who are funding these job losses. If she can, she will drain that swamp.

New U.S. claims for unemployment benefits unexpectedly climbed to a nine-month high last week, yet another setback to the frail economic recovery.

Hardly unexpected......here's why:

Anyone with a small amount of common sense would know once Congress extended benefits, the herd would stampede to the trough.

Not unexpected by the administration, since this is an example of Cloward-Piven in action.

The USA is shutting down.

Yesterday, I was at a civic club meeting (mostly retired democrat members) and the economy and unemployment was the hot topic of the evening. I've never seen so many worried people.

Those that were staunch democrats and used to blast W every chance they got are strangely silent about politics now, but I did have one complaining that those damned republicans won't let any stimulous money loose for private contract work. Well...I just had to challenge that, and he wound up admitting that republicans have no control over how that money is spent.

I've decided to never let idiot statements stand anymore.

Manufacturing jobs aren’t coming back until either government gets off our back, or wages come down to China levels.

There are three important and interconnected things: Food, Water and Energy. Government is in complete control of energy and is choking us out.

Ha, ha, very good!

When I clicked on the link to CNBC, the first words that jumped out at me were “unexpectedly” and “surprise”. It’s pathetic.
