New U.S. claims for unemployment benefits unexpectedly climbed to a nine-month high last week, yet another setback to the frail economic recovery.

Hardly unexpected......here's why:

Anyone with a small amount of common sense would know once Congress extended benefits, the herd would stampede to the trough.

Not unexpected by the administration, since this is an example of Cloward-Piven in action.

Enough with that nonsense. I am on UC, but desperately want off and am looking everyday. Most people do not want to be one UC, especially at this point in history.

I’ll make you a deal.....I will trade you my unemployment check for your paycheck. Deal?

There are 5 to 6 unemployed people for every single job opening.....and it looks to be getting worse.

What is so difficult to understand that extending (or not extending UC) will not affect this?
