After a closed-door, pre-event meeting between Rep Melissa Bean (D) IL-8 and staff of the Round Lake Area Public Library, a man alleged to be the hulking head of library security repeatedly took an intimidating stance, standing over questioners who raised controversial issues. Other library management attempted to dissuade an attendee from video taping what was purportedly a public townhall event. Rather than stop the intimidation, Bean appeared rather pleased with it based upon her smiling acknowledgment.
Rep. Melissa Bean has a troubling history involving townhalls. She's also one of a few Democrats uninterested in disbursing Charlie Rangel cash to charity, as other Dems have done. Now, via video below and at Gateway Pundit, she seems to be resorting to intimidation and censorship to prevent questions from being asked at alleged public townhall events.
While many other Democrats are rushing to dump campaign cash given by under-fire U.S. Rep. Charlie Rangel, Melissa Bean isnt. The Barrington Democrat says she wont donate to charity the $28,000 she received between 2005 and 2007 from the New York congressman or from committees associated with him.
Michelle Malkin first exposed her sneaky townhall tactics in 2009:
Two days ago, I called attention to the $25 fee to get into Democrat Rep Melissa Beans town hall in Illinois. See here. After I blogged about it, someone changed the title of the meeting to lessen the embarrassment.
Bean then changed it to a tele-townhall without informing constituents.
She billed her $25/person Chamber of Commerce pow-wow as a town hall, then had it changed after getting smoked out. Then she hastily convened a telephone town hall, but didnt notify constituents until the last minute.
Now, it's closed door meetings, thuggish tactics and attempts to prevent video of a public event. But who can blame her? She looks like someone with a lot to hide at this point.
The new playbook the Democrats are using includes intimidation and violence. There was a time when that sort of thing would have made the evening news.
Now it is par for the course for the Dims. That woman is insufferable.
It still would.....if it were a (R)................
If Crane had had the good grace to bow out we wouldn’t be putting up with this person.
Doesn’t this lovely woman represent some of the wealthiest areas in Chicagoland? I guess money doesn’t buy common sense when it comes to politics
Nope $ doesn’t buy common sense but it seems to buy Melissa Bean’s vote.
“...But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.” - DOI, 1776
The situation with the Crimocrats is way beyond the pale. They are an openly deviant lawbreaking cabal, to the point where they now blatantly challenge the public to do anything about it. They should be very, very selective in what they wish for from here on out. Or, be prepared to just suck it up when they get their wish. I'm guessing the piper will be paid.

He always is. It's just a question of who gets stuck with the bill.
I think it's about time the scumbags who continue to raid the "Social Security Trust Fund" were handed the chit. Time to pay up. If that money, meaning everything paid in to SocSec over the decades, had sat there growing interest since the beginning, not only would there be no current shortfall, rather there would be a conservatively estimated 4-Trillion $$ surplus, enough to carry everyone in the system until it became vogue for white heterosexuals to start having large families again.
Instead, we still pay in every month to a blatant Ponzi Scheme run by professional ripoffs who make Bernie Madoff look like Mother Theresa. It boggles the mind.

"So, do the rest of you now have some idea of the depth of corruption in Chicago and Illinois, and why some of us were so concerned about electing a president who emerges from this cesspool? ... Brazen, appalling, unbelievable, they say. But for those of us who have spent a lifetime covering the news here, it's how it works."

Yes, I am. Me and a couple other buddies of mine will expose this socialist Bean. Just give me all the info and links and we will take it all the way. We have the time and the resources too.
You will have to excuse me, I am new to this site. I know of FR. My father used to check it all the time, but he passed last november. I am trying to carry on in his footsteps. I just got started with this whole political thing which I think came at just the right time.
If anyone else can find dirt on the Bean, just let me know.
