FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (Illegal to grow your own food)

This bill was considered in committee which has recommended it be considered by the Senate as a whole. Although it has been placed on a calendar of business, the order in which legislation is considered and voted on is determined by the majority party leadership. Keep in mind that sometimes the text of one bill is incorporated into another bill, and in those cases the original bill, as it would appear here, would seem to be abandoned.

Have you seen “Food, Inc.”? Reportedly, 90% of commercial foods contain corn, or soy, and most have both. My best friedn and I watched the movie and he’s been pointing out the corn and byproducts on everything. It’s annoying to me, but he means well. It’s in EVERYTHING.

A lot of “crunchy” liberals here in Moonbatapolis are not happy with this - the end of Community Supported Agriculture, co-ops, etc. It’s getting some to listen that goobermint has gotten too big and turned into a bunch of extreme control freaks who know absolutely nothing about anything. And some are starting to think that conservatism/libertarianism (small l) might indeed have some merits.

The globalists find starvation to be a useful tool. They think there are too many people on the planet and they will really only be happy when there are only 500 million left.

Todster’patriot’ is fully aware of this.

Monsanto has already done that.....

That's not what he claimed. Do you think the government will "stop the production of commercial seed that isn’t a GMO, and plant GMO’s near anyone who won’t submit/they can’t intimidate out of it"?

Agreed. The fence sitters are either obstacles or collateral damage. They are actually more the leeches of society than the ones who campaign for the welfare state. They will seek security and sustenance from either side depending on conditions.

>>“Who is the big voting bloc in favor of making growing your own food illegal?”<<

Agenda 21 believers such as Toddster.

“I think you should.”

So you’re advising me to break the law should this pass? I hope you’re not a lawyer! Legal malpractice is a tricky thing.

“You mean the food you’ll still be able to grow? Sounds like you’re on the wrong thread. This is “the government made it illegal to grow your own food” thread.”

No, I’m on the ‘you can’t grow food unless we *permit* it’ thread.

How much you wanna bet 0bamacare never gets implemented?

I want with all my heart for 0bamaCare to be killed but I wouldn't risk one thin dime on that bet. A fool's bet for sure.

Most people never wake up until they’re visably wronged (and this is a grievious wrong). Then many snap to.

Take the theft of income taxes, for example. If people were forced to pay once, yearly, instead of biweekly, preemptive theft, there’d be an immediate outcry, and everybody involved knows it.

Actually, Monsanto could sue him for inciting you to violate a food patent, as they have done to seed cleaner(s).

Individual rights have given way to corporate ‘rights’.

That is exactly right. The political elites think they are doing a great humanitarian thing by helping the corporate elites fashion a new world. They believe in science, technology and intellectualism to such an extent that they think the salvation of all mankind lies in their ability to plan it all out for us small people.

Its time we citizens stop the excutive office and congress from using federal bureaucracies to regulate us into the corporatist socialist hybrid monster government they are attempting to create.
