Considering that 90k pages of documentation were released, the following question crossed my mind yesterday. How could Obama, a day after news of the leak broke, blithely state that "there's nothing new" included in the documents?

I should have pursued that thought.

Well, I figured that Obama approved these leaks and intended to use them for political purposes, but this certainly confirms it.

When the NYTimes and WashingtonCompost leaked secret information under Bush, he warned them that it would damage the country. Of course, they went ahead with it. But I imagine that these leftist leakers would listen to Obama. (Not whether it damaged the country, but whether it might embarrass him, which would be his only concern.)
