The Serious Tracking of Americans Begins
Economic Policy Journal ^ | 07/16/2010 | Economic Policy Journal

They have passed the health bill, they have passed the financial regulations bill and they have snuck stuff into the stimulus package bills. They are going to track your money and your body. Here's the first few things they are doing. This is step one. It will only get worse from here.

According numismaster.com:

...the Health Care Bill mandates, according to Numismaster.com, Starting on January 1st in 2012, S federal law will require coin and bullion dealers to report to the Internal Revenue Service all gold and silver coin purchases and sales greater than $600. No that is not an error, they tacked the gold coin tracking regulations into the health bill. They are just tacking stuff on wherever they can.

As for your body, you will be required to have an "electronic health record", by 2014. They snuck this into one of the "stimulus" bills. The electronic record will include an obesity rating. The information will be required to be on a "national exchange" with only secure access (Hah!). Why the F does your obesity rating have to be on a national exchange? This is a tip off to how micro-managed they are going to attempt to run your life.

Keep in mind that the health bill and financial "reform" bill are thousands of pages, with much of the details left up to the new agencies to fill in. Obama is appointing major league interventionists to head these agencies. They are completely clueless as to how an economy works. Their regs will be over the top. It will stifle America in so many ways, it is difficult to imagine. I was in East Berlin the year before the Wall came down. I saw what constant monitoring and micro-management did to people. It is not pretty. The gray, the drab, the despair was everywhere. When you can only take orders and wait for approvals and are constantly watched, it saps the life out of you. America is going to be changing and the government is going to try and watch you and monitor your vitals, as if you were a lab rat, as it does the changing.

It is not going to be pretty.

I wish they would honor the Constitution, but they won't. Look at Arizona; Washington files a law suit to stop them from doing what the Constitution is supposed to protect.

The Supreme Court will eventually deem the 10th amendment as superseded by the Federal Legislature or SCOTUS.

We are witnessing this first hand. America is dying right in front of our eyes.

The "clash" is coming, but timing is everything. He hasn't needed it in this phase of the coup, but there will come a time when incrementalism will reach its useful limit. Then the crisis phase will be generated, with the intention of consolidating power and eliminating opposition. Call it the Reichstag moment.

And they were the ones who yelled the loudest when Bush temporarily installed the Patriot Act. This makes the PA look like Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood.

In this day and age, no one has the stomach for a civil war,

No doubt, but recall that efforts at States' Nullification preceded the last civil war. We're back at that place in history.

“. . . something that Congress needs to tackle right now: income tax reform. When the current system is 70,000-plus pages of undecipherable mess, . . . “

Much as I would like to see that, ain’t gonna happen. The Repubs might reinstate the tax cuts due to expire three weeks before they are sworn in but that tax code is their re-election fund. The vast majority of lobbyists are around to fit their clients into a tax loophole, in return for a nice campaign contribution. You would first have to reform the elections, then the people who win those elections, then work on the tax system.

Sometimes passive resistance is the only tool you have to work with. Until the moment comes to STRIKE and then you do, or you don’t. And if you do, people die, maybe you. But death comes to every man in time anyway, so what the H.

The way to end the madness is:

Repeal the 17Th Amendment.

Return the selection of senators to the state legislatures as our founding fathers intended. This is the only sure way to return to the states their lawful rights under the Constitution. Senators will then, as actual representatives of the states rather than the people, protect states rights and prevent the federal government from destroying the states with unfunded mandates

>>>>>I used to think Obama was going to provoke a clash

In order for him to provoke a clash would require a set of NU!S which he has NONE. A real man in other words. This guy is a SNAKE and a WEASEL and will use his power to P!MP others out to do his bidding.

Try and get your medical records from your doctor on a weekend.

Try and get a goobermint office on a weekend. In a choice between ER doctors and some "automated system" maintained by remote gubbermint bureaucrats, I'll take my chances with ER doctors thanks, and leave the nanny state to fend for itself.

Sometimes passive resistance is the only tool you have to work with.

It's the best option - passive resistance. Violence will only feed the beast. It creates a crises that can be used for even more oppression.
We can survive without Washington's money, but Washington cannot survive without ours. We don't have to work over time and pay more income taxes. We don't have to buy and pay more state taxes. We can pay people with cash, because what happens to that cash after it leaves your hand is not your concern. We can "share" our abilities and leave the trading of money out of the deal. We can do a lot of political damage if we do it in great numbers. Washington NEEDS voluntary slaves to stay alive. It takes big, big money to pay for all this oppression.
Starve the beast.

My doctor and my wife’have all electronic records.

On a weekend, the hospital ER doctor has those records at hand.

My neighbor in the adjacent ER room does not. His doctor has not yet gone to electronic records and never will. He is old enough to be too old to change.

The above is fictitious but it happened this week in reality with my MIL who made a trip to the ER and all the tests made Thursday were not available on Sunday and had to be completely redone.

The electronic system is local for subscribers who happen to be the medical group and the hospital

"The difference between us and the soviets will be the amount and level of the firepower in private hands."

At no time in the history of humankind and despotism has so much firepower been in the hands of so many.

Between 2 and 300 million firearms are held by private citizens in this country along with 10's of billions of rounds of ammunition. We ALSO have at least 10million men under the age of 60 with military training (2009 VA data).

It seems that one day the American left will realize the brilliance of the founders...much to their chagrin.

Is there any way to verify this?
