The more I hear about her, the less I like her – and the more I figure we should go to the mat trying to derail her appointment to the Supreme Court – from Frank J. Gaffney via Catholic Exchange:

You don’t have to have very many brain cells to know that Elena Kagan is a Pluto-bound abortion-loving socialist. The thought of that grinning overfed New York bull dyke on our Supreme Court for the next 30-40 years makes me weep for my country.

I think that may be a bit harsh. Exiled to an otherwise uninhabited island for the rest of their natural lives would do the trick, as homosexuals (by definition) cannot reproduce.

Kagan is less qualified than Harriet Miers. Miss Kagan has too little experience, plus she carries too much anti-American and anti-Constitution baggage to serve effectively as a Supreme Court judge IMO. She should withdraw her name from the short listing of qualified individuals for the Supreme Court.
She’s definitely red through and through, but I’m more worried about her fondness for sharia. This is not uncommon among leftists, but she has actually done a lot to support sharia in the US.
The idea that somebody who is a candidate for a seat on the top court of the land should also be an advocate for a foreign, hostile legal system that is in direct conflict with the Constitution is the stuff of nightmares. I suspect that her friendliness to sharia was the reason Mr. Muslim President chose her and he wants her on the court to forward his goal of extending sharia in the US. Yet this is the thing few if any interviewers are asking about.
Well Hell then!
Let's throw a burka on her and start giving her her daily beating as part of the hearings.
We could see how well she holds up under some real pressure. Her answers might even start getting a little more truthful.

Elena Kagan Lied to Supreme Court in 9/11 Case
President Barack Obama’s latest Supreme Court nominee, Elena Kagan, lied about the wording of a law that goes to the very heart of our ability to use the courts to combat Islamic terrorism.
As Obama’s solicitor general, Kagan urged the Court to dismiss the suit that our 9/11 families have been pressing against the Saudi government and several Saudi princes for their extensive funding of al-Qaeda. The families sued under the domestic tort exception to sovereign immunity, which according to Kagan’s Supreme Court brief (at p. 14):
