WASHINGTON (AP) -- Louisiana Republican Sen. David Vitter says he supports conservative organizations challenging President Barack Obama's citizenship in court.
Vitter, who is running for re-election, made the comments at a town hall event on Sunday when a constituent asked what he would do about what the questioner said was Obama's "refusal to produce a valid birth certificate."

The question is, when they finally decide that BO is not American -born, what happens then?
Anything that contributes to a higher visibility for this issue, is fine with me.
Good for Vitter.
Really, if you can’t make a president comply with such a basic Constitutional requirement, you can’t expect them comply with any law.
Obviously nothing is going to happen till republicans have control and then I’m not sure they’ll do any heavy lifting.
A brouhaha in Congress as they decide whether they should impeach him or do something else.
I predict in about 20 seconds some DU dummy will show up like N-S and tell you nothing.
Maybe people are finally getting tired of the New Black Panther Party rhetoric such as “killing cracker babies.”
Nah - too lazy to put the clicker down - have to get back to being brainwashed in HDTV.
Vitter is up by 15%-20% and will win. I’m willing to bet that he was used as a “test” by the GOP to see what will happen by this. I’d bet on it.
Blue blood country clubbers will not break a sweat, all that matters to them is their pensions, power, and the patronage jobs they can dispense.
Nothing will change until the country clubbers are run out of DC on a rail
Isn’t the porn starlet Stormy Daniels running as an indy in the same 2010 race in which Vitter will be running? Has anyone asked her opinion? It would be notable if they would both close ranks on the illegitimacy of the Bummer.
Impeachment is for high crimes and misdemeanors. I wonder what being evasive about one’s place of birth would be, a high crime and a misdemeanor?
Yes, and I’m sure the Left would love that.
The article where this was reported had some interesting inaccuracies and half-truths mixed in.
I don’t think anything is going to come of this, because I think this nation is that far gone. None the less, it seems like a thorn in Obama’s side, and I’m on board for any of that.
Vitter has sixteen opponents, including an independent in the general election. He still seems strong. He is one of the few who will speak out.

Anyone who cares about their country would be very concerned that a POTUS had hidden every scrap of information of his life that he possibly could.
Remember when Arizona tried to pass the prove you are eligible law? I wonder if all the flash back over immigration was just some attempt to bully other states not to try the same thing?
I'm not sure of here opinion on Tea Party members, or on the birth certificate issue, but I bet she goes down hard on the teabaggers. :)
No, the independent is Plaquemines Parish State Rep. Ernest Wooton, a former sheriff who left the GOP last week to run as an independent.
The American people don’t give horefeathers about all the important points that you raise.
