Chelsea Clinton, daughter of former President Bill Clinton and his wife who is Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, will marry investment banker Marc Mezvinsky in Rhinebeck, New York on July 31, 2010 with neither Al Gore or Tipper Gore in attendance.
In fact, it isn’t even certain if the Gores have been invited to the wedding ceremony and celebration, though it is assumed they were.
The press, undoubtedly have been keeping their eyes on how the Gores were going to handle this social occasion since they are close to the Clinton family.
Chelsea's wedding is sizing up to be the wedding of the summer with media coverage extending from the wedding gown and its designer to the many stories released about the political family of which she's marrying into.
Past controversies surrounding her fiancé's family are a-buzz.
Sidebar: There was no mention as to whether President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle will attend.

Who cares????
First, I don’t think the Gores and the Clintons are “close”.
Secondly, I’m not sure they would have been invited.
Third, I don’t think attending a wedding fits what they are going through right now unless they both want to yell “don’t do it!” from the back row.
truth be told, i seriously doubt that the gore’s are close to the clinton’s. as such, they’re most likely not invited.
as to the hussein’s - if they were invited and attend the wedding, can we place bets on what their gift would be?! an ipod with speeches by dear leader and his lovely and winsome bride...? wink.
