New York politicians are bending over backwards and violating protocol to build a mega mosque at Ground Zero. In warped speed they are ramming it through, removing every obstacle to expedite the process and erect a triumphal mosque at Ground Zero in time for it to meet its stated opening date, the tenth anniversary of September 11. Why? Would they do this for a church? A synagogue? This is an outrage.
Wednesday night, on less than a week and a half’s notice (at a time when most people who care are not even around), the Lower Manhattan Community Board 1 (LMCB) Landmark Commission (LMCBLC) held a meeting to consider the landmark status of 45-47 Park Place (the site of the proposed 911 mega-mosque). Refusing to wait until the entire board could meet, seven board members voted to deny landmark status to the Burlington Coat Factory building, removing another obstacle to Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf’s supremacist, triumphal mosque.
Yet the historical significance of the property is clear: the famous architect Daniel D. Badger designed the building. A number of his buildings have already been given landmark status. The New York Times obituary (in the November 19, 1884 issue, p. 2) for Badger (1806-1884) called him “the pioneer of this country in the use of iron for building purposes.”
More importantly, his building has special historical significance because of 911. It was part of the attack. The landing gear of one the planes that crashed into the World Trade Center towers flew out to the Burlington Coat Factory building, and fell through the roof to the basement. The fact that the committee ignores that fact is outrageous, and disrespects the victims of 911.
The LMCBLC unanimously (with one recusal) voted Wednesday to recommend to the Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) that landmark status be denied. Yes, this ugly decision was unanimous. The one recusal came from a board member who admitted to being in bed with the owner (future financial gains implied). This was the same tool who during last month’s community board meeting was shilling for the mosque. Apparently, one of the owners of the property approached him and subsequently corresponded with him. He said he was recusing himself because although there was no “immediate” financial benefit to him, he thought it appropriate given potential conflicts of interest. The same member of the LMCBLC made reference to Kristallnacht, implying that opponents of the mosque are Nazis. Outrageous, I tell you.
After 9/11, millions of people in flyover country put aside their differences with the big city leftists and came together with them as Americans to assist and defend them. For this, we have been derided, spat upon, kicked, and belittled by the people we sought to help. Every indication is that when the next attack comes, if it is not in NYC it will be in a like minded metropolis. When that time arrives, do we still have a responsibility to help them, or do we sit passively and watch the spectacle unfold?
I sent this to my Congressman. What a national disgrace.
I thought of that, too. Nothing gets done in New York without the unions and even if the leadership supports Obastard and other Rats, the members are red blooded Americans and may simply not allow the mosque to be built.
--Republican gubernatorial candidate Rick Lazio wants his Democratic rival, Andrew Cuomo, to investigate the development of a $100 million mosque being planned near ground zero.
Lazio had a lot of questions: “Where did the $5 million dollars come from that were used to purchase the land?,” he asked. “Where will the $95 million in addition come from to build the mosque? Who is behind these investments? What is there purpose? What is their goal? What is their intent?”

These people have the temerity to run roughshod over the people, doing as they see fit. In their minds, they and they alone know what is right, they have chosen themselves. Either we start resisting in earnest or these people will be emboldened to do even more than they have so far. They are mistaking our passivity for apathy. It is not passivity it simply boiling outrage before the explosion.

...in the Old Testament there are accounts of monument after monument specifically erected to honor God's faithfulness....immediately after some victory for the Jewish people.
This is the ultimate insult to build a monument to the Islam faith very near to where terrorists attacked & killed.

I often tell all my friends that America no longer has the courage to build great things. The biggest ship in the world is not built in America. The tallest building in the world is not in America. The biggest airplane is not built by an American company.
What we’re looking at the is the faggotization (for lack of a better term) of America: environmental impact reports, having to clear everything with community groups, illegal immigration, dependency on the government, the importation of Euro-style socialism et al. have conspired to destroy what used to be the preeminent nation in the world. This desire to make everything “green” especially will destroy this country. Liberalism will do to this country what it did to Detroit.

I can't figure out why patriotic New Yorkers aren't already bombarding that site with all kinds of leftover pig parts, pig blood, entrails, etcetera, to put the muzzies off from building there.
Patriots need to begin defiling the site with pig's blood, entrails, and every other swine part they can throw at it.
The muzzies are extremely sensitive about that.
If they build it anyway, keep throwing pig parts at it, until they cave in and abandon the site.
