From earlier in the week. A search on titles came back with no hits.

Only 12? Guess I’m in the minority.
Of course, I don’t think it’ll take 25 years. (see tag)

Well, all seven since Hawaii would be a good guess.
Nevermind that, how about the other fifty file for separation and leave Obama in charge of the other seven.

Wasn’t there a Russian professor who has done work on how the USA is almost assured to become “balkanized” in the future due to the differences that would become more clear as the US falls economically?

How long do you think it would take Texas to form its own military? A large number of the current armed forces are from here, not to mention the guard, and patriots across the state that would join up to protect it.

Unless the electorate gets educated and motivated in miraculous fashion then it will be too late in less than 10 years.

Form up and just do it, don’t wait. Let these g—damned socialists/progressives/communists go their own way. Refine the Constitution, get rid of the “general welfare” clause; but, the Constitution works and should be kept as the standard. Eliminate these “living document” advocates. There’s got to be a set of standards and the Constitution is that set.

well, that’s depressing. I was kind of hoping for something like 70% thinking it will happen in the next 2 years, and 80% willing to let us go...
I very much need a divorce...

I am not sure it will take 25 months.
To: LTCJ
I'm thinking there will be 50% chance an attempt within the next few months. They won't call it secession, too many old wounds there. Whatever they call it will be some new focus group tested catch phrase. Perhaps something like Enhanced State Autonomy Bill or Constitutional Delineation of Powers Act. The Tell the Feds to Pound Sand Act of 2011 would be appropriate, but I don't think it will get past the marketing types.
My bet will be it will take place if the Obama declares amnesty or a gun grab by executive order. One or more states will simply not acknowledge what is a blatantly unconstitutional act and refused to allow the ATF or FBI enforce the executive order.

I’m retirement age and live in Texas. If we could leave, I would be willing to sign-up, if they would take me.

not to mention the guard, and patriots across the state that would join up to protect it. Not to mention others currently living in occupied lands in the USA too...
