The top commander in Afghanistan, Gen. Stanley McChrystal, has been summoned to the White House to explain biting and unflattering remarks he made to a freelance writer about President Barack Obama and others in the Obama administration.

The face-to-face comes as pundits are already calling for McChrystal to resign for insubordination.

should we form our own honor/cheering guard to salute the general?

Imagine the msm angst when the people speak out in support of a general who demonstrates the president is incompetent.

What the author is saying, is that Politico, having the disparaging comments McChrystal made about Obamah and his administration would not have printed them for fear of 'burning bridges' and losing access.

How's that for journalism!

The thug is showing his true colors to ua and the world.
Someone is ego-maniacal, thin skinned and squandering his precious image daily.
The signs of a pending, colossal failure.

“Retired and speaking up like this wouldn’t be news at all...it would have been buried and written off as sour grapes, IMHO.”

BINGO.

Now, whittle Obambi has his whittle fwellings all sad —

and Obama, true to his thug nature, acts like a bully to the innocent general who was just trying to do his best for his men.

Perfect one-two punch.

“McChrystal voting for Obamah, tells you all you need to know about what he thinks of Juan MeCain.”

Probably thought he might have a shot at running things the right way with a no experience, no leadership, no exec in charge. He might turn out to be right.

We have no executive experience or leadership anywhere, at any level, in this administration.

what’s Widdle Pwecious gonna do?

He's going to conduct an academic study and hold a round-table discussion to help him discover whose a$$ he needs to kick.

But if he was a “retired general”, then would anyone be talking about this right now? W had a Ret. General for every day of the week commenting on him, and really no one cared.

It’s a mixed situation at best. Obama gets exposed for the amateur he is, but our military gets exposed to open politics in the ranks.

In his own way he’s keeping his oath to the constitution. He is a patriot.

In that article McChrystal acknowledged that he voted for Obama, so he's no patriot. That makes him a flaming @sshole whose poor judgement makes me question his ability to tie his own shoes.

Typical Politico prop-up of the Bummer by proposing that the little chimp could possibly show bluster in the face of military commanders. McChrystal wanted out or a major sea change that wasn’t apparently happening.

Has someone got a way to count the number of times Barack Hussein has been described as “furious”? Or is that a spurious question?

Just curious.

[ The face-to-face comes as pundits are already calling for McChrystal to resign for insubordination. ]

He should resign at a press conference..
With the statement he will NOT WORK for A TRAITOR...
But more importantly for an incompetant traitor..

He could do it nicely on the Glen Beck Show... or Limbaugh.. or BOTH...

I thought the same thing as soon as I heard this. He knew exactly what he was doing, and understood the consequences. He’s had a belly full and is doing it for his troops, IMHO.

“He’s going to conduct an academic study and hold a round-table discussion to help him discover whose a$$ he needs to kick.”

Then he will call in a special panel of “leading physicists and the best and brightest minds” to calculate the proper angle of attack and the torque required for maximum kickage. Be ready in 2013...

there’s no chance that this piece was accidental or the words inadvertant.

McChristal knows what it takes to win.

They either change to help him win or boot him out and confirm Eckilsberry with a self fulfilling prophecy.

If they boot him out then they hang the loss on themselves.

McChristal comes out clean.

good heavens, can ANYONE openly criticize the Usurper WITHOUT turning around and apologizing later? I think of all the people who criticized previous Presidents and stood by their words. Why is everyone all of a sudden wimpy now? From Joe Wilson to Barton to now McKrystal. What’s gotten into people?

This makes me furious. Here we have McKyrstal, a decorated war hero, who has proven his allegiance to this country, now having to crawl grovelling to this Usurper, who never risked anything for anyone except for his narcissitic self, a man who bowed to the Saudi king and emperor of Japan, and a decorated general has to go asking for forgiveness from HIM?????

I weep for my beloved America. What have we done to you?

Just as an example of how a REAL general handled a similar situation MacAuthor met Truman half way for his butt chewing over Korea. I little island in the Pacific, he did not scurry to D.C. like a little boy. He made Truman get on a plane too. I wish we had generals like that now.

I sense a Douglas MacArthur moment coming.

We have lost 35 military personnel in Afghanistan just this month.

If the fools in Washington are not going to allow our troops to defend themselves, much less fight the war, bring em home NOW.

Honestly, if he wanted to out Obama- he could and should have resigned his commission first.

He gets way more attention this way. I think the war is at a turning point and this guy is immensely frustrated that if it goes negative it will reflect on him when he knows the real problem is that he's getting no support from DC.

I suspect that he was cornered by Biden into implementing the rules of engagement as some kind of quid pro quo for getting the troops he wanted. Bad situation for a general to be in.
