The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 25% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-six percent (46%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -21 (see trends).
These results are based upon nightly telephone interviews and reported on a three-day rolling average basis. As a result, more than two-thirds of the interviews for todays update were conducted after the presidents speech to the nation. Tomorrows update will be the first based entirely upon interviews conducted after the speech.
The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update). Updates are also available on Twitter and Facebook.
Overall, 41% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president's performance. Thats the lowest level of approval yet recorded for this president. Fifty-eight percent (58%) now disapprove.

3 days in a row > -20. O may have broken through to a new consistent low.
Tomorrow is big because Rass is a three day moving average. If he stays at -20 for a fourth day that means it isn't just one bad day pulling the numbers down.

Strongly ddiapprove is not higher because I think most people are pretty middle ofnthe road and don’t feel strongly about much outside their families and friends.

I’d wager that the taxpaying sector has already dumped him. He’s down to the deadbeats now.

I don’t think Obama will win the Dem nomination for the 2012 election.
Hillary Clinton will.
She has been placed into a position of importance, but at the same time did not have to vote for Obamacare, TARP, etc. Yes, she agreed with all of it, but didn’t actually vote for it.
So, there is a disadvantage to Obama’s numbers getting too low. If his disapproval numbers start chipping away at the support of black voters, then Hillary! is in as a candidate who has kept her nose clean.

What will be key in 2012 is the damage to the democrats' brand, though. She can keep her own nose clean, but she's still one of the boogers in 0bie's nose.

Precisely. Allowing the Phantom of the Opera to lead the attack with his clown committee was the worst thing for the Dhimmis. I doubt that anyone outside Santa Monica can stand the sight of Waxman.

Remember Union Carbide's radiation leak in Bhopal, India (1984 I think). They filed bankruptcy. Couldn't pay when claims kept coming in. Look for possible BP to file. And then retirees in Britain, US and the world around will lose a lot. Plus the US will be 4th in line for environmental claims. Creditors then Shareholders first and second I believe.
That was poison gas, not radiation. But the big difference is the profitability of the company. BP America (Not BP Plc the parent company) turned a profit of 16.7 billion in 2009. The cleanup is estimated to be between 37-60 billion dollars. They could do that on a ten year note and never have a loss in any single year. Union Carbide had to wright off the US market when the balked a paying the claims in Bhopal. The US market for oil and gas is worth way more than $60 billion. BP will take the hit (1) because they can and (2) because the what they give up to avoid paying the claims is worth more than the cost of paying the claims.

I thought that Slick taking on the unions in Arkansas during the primary was a clue. I think that Hillary might make a run on the basis of 0 being in the unions’ hip pocket to the detriment of everyone else.
