The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 25% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-six percent (46%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -21 (see trends).
These results are based upon nightly telephone interviews and reported on a three-day rolling average basis. As a result, more than two-thirds of the interviews for todays update were conducted after the presidents speech to the nation. Tomorrows update will be the first based entirely upon interviews conducted after the speech.
The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update). Updates are also available on Twitter and Facebook.
Overall, 41% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president's performance. Thats the lowest level of approval yet recorded for this president. Fifty-eight percent (58%) now disapprove.

Think about that, though, on 12% “somewhat disapprove”, most feel strongly about their disapproval.

I believe Sad Sack is just about at the bottom of the barrel.
With 46% getting government checks, it is amazing that only 41% support him.
Of course this poll measures likely voters. The next Gallup poll will be interesting too (”adults” with a pulse).
