Daily Presidential Tracking Poll (58-41 disapprove!)
Rasmussen Reports ^ | June 18, 2010 | Scott Rasmussen

Posted on 06/18/2010 6:32:01 AM PDT by Scanian

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 25% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-six percent (46%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -21 (see trends).

These results are based upon nightly telephone interviews and reported on a three-day rolling average basis. As a result, more than two-thirds of the interviews for today’s update were conducted after the president’s speech to the nation. Tomorrow’s update will be the first based entirely upon interviews conducted after the speech.

The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update). Updates are also available on Twitter and Facebook.

Overall, 41% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president's performance. That’s the lowest level of approval yet recorded for this president. Fifty-eight percent (58%) now disapprove.

Every intelligent American already disapproves of Obama. The folks joining in now are liberals. So, his numbers will only fall the more he disappoints liberals.

"58-41 Disapprove/Approve. Heading towards George Bush numbers.

Bush was demonized daily and relentlessly.

Thats a good point to keep in mind. Even though iit's turning, media coverage of the obamessiah has still been more than favorable. With the media running cover for him, his numbers are still falling. Doesn't look good for TOTUS these days. Amen!!

Remember this 46% disapproval you characterize as “only” is with the entire lamestream media carrying his water, covering for him, making excuses for him and generally giving raves to everything he does and says with very few exceptions.

“...we’re seeing that people have finally had enough!”

It’s just hilarious that some of these people are leaving him b/c they feel he’s too far right (save the whales, DADT, military out now crowds...) On the flip side, it’s not surprising that Obama hasn’t realized that you can’t appease political opponents and expect poll numbers to go up (troop surge in Afghanistan, for example).

To be honest, though, I have very little respect for the analytical skills of the average voter.

The true number is probably 95% +

And it ain’t gonna change. Facts mean nothing-some cite the high black unemployment rate as a precursor to BO’s popularity taking a nosedive among blacks-hell, a great many of the folks in that category don’t WANT to work. Long as they can “get over” somehow. BO’s soft stance on crime, drugs, and welfare, as well as classifying “racism” as anything said about you that you don’t like- is a good start. Then, who knows-reparations? That’s the thought process, such as it is.

Guaran-damn-tee they’ll be some riots when BO gets his ass handed to him in 2012.

Why would they do that, I hear some of you say?-you mean like a “reason”? Uhhh, the kind of person who does stuff like that-you saw some getting practice in L.A the other night after the game-”reason” is a foreign concept.

The results are kind of like the same as if Orca was “doing her best” to win the Ironman triathalon.....

25% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve

That would be illegal aliens, pedophiles, felons, Muslims, transgendered practitioners of bestiality, the New Black Panthers, and Hamas for Obama Inc.

BO has lost a LOT of Section8, Food Stamp, etc. people.

There is a segment of those people who are unhappy to be there, and can see that the current administration is making things worse, not better.

I wonder how many of the "Strongly Approve" are gonna still be there when the Bush tax cuts expire and suddenly they find themselves in the taxable group."

Great point, but the Dims are aware of this risk and talking about making the cuts permanent for the lowest tax brackets.

O’Reilly quoted a WAPO poll last night. 24% (or around there) think the Federal government is doing enough to control illegal immigration.

That is Obama’s base right there.

The Kenyan Marxist's approval is already as bad as that of Bush back in in Jan 2007, 7 years after Bush took office. And that is despite the fact that Bush was constantly under vicious attacks from the deranged lamestream media, while 0bozo gets 24/7 worship from the lamestream media vermin.

Jan 2007: Bush Approval 41, Disapproval 57
June 18 : 0bama Approval 41, Disapproval 58

That graphic would be perfect if you photoshopped Rahm Emanuel in as Arnold Horshack, Eric Holder as Freddie Washington, David Axelrod as Vinnie Barbarino, and Janet Nepalitano as Juan Epstein.

>> I think today’s Abyss is a record. <<

Yes, it is, if you go by the day-to-day numbers.

But these numbers are notoriously unstable.

Therefore, given the unreliability of the daily numbers, I put my money on the ten-day moving average. It’s still positive, now at two percent. When that number turns negative, then I’ll say the Big Ø has probably fallen into an abyss from which he can’t escape.

(And at which point Mark O’Malley surely will give us another of his great graphics!)

Yes, the Abyss number is fluid, and has been consistently positive until lately. But we’ve now experienced 3 continuous polls where the numbers have been negative. That’s a first. Hopefully, the trend will continue.
