A Rhode Island mother says her 8-year-old son's school would not let him wear a patriotic hat she says he designed for a project to honor Army troops because the school thought it was inappropriate.

Morales said the principal at David's school called her to say the hat wasn't appropriate because it had guns, which violated a school ban on weapons and toy weapons.

Someone might confuse those “toy weapons” for the real thing. /sarcasm. Why doesn’t our educational system do what they REALLY feel like doing and order sex change operations for all boys. Heck, they’d stand a far better chance of finding a job. /NOT sarcasm.
Wasn’t there a case of this happening in the same area of the country last year?

Why are the parents surprised? If they want their children to be educated they will pull them out of the government schools. It is neglect at best and probably child abuse to send children to these godless schools.
This principal is a drooling moron!
So, wear the hat. When the school forcefully removes it, sue the district and file assault charges against whoever touched the child.
I hate government schools. Absolutely, the worst option for our children.
One more example that the government schools are doing what they were designed to do: turn out sissified sheep that do what they’re told.
If you have children, remove them from the government schools.
The government schools are the primary tool the “progressives” have used to turn a nation of free men into sheep that want to enslaved for empty promises of safety and security.
If I had ever had kids, they would not have attended a government school, even though I did.
I guess all school personnel and students should check their pocket change and make sure thae aren’t carrying The Massachusetts State Quarter since it depicts a Minuteman carrying a weapon. If caught, the adults should lose their jobs.
Remove all exposure to guns of all sorts,
make them a scary and taboo topic,
and you set up a society in which gun ownership can be banned.
Let's ship them to some God-forsaken island penal colony, even a nice place like Hawaii, I don't care, just let 'em have the whole damn thing - and then imprison them or ship 'em back if they try to come back to the mainland.

I certainly hope the school provides adequate psychological counseling for any teachers or students who were traumatized by viewing this troublemaker’s hat.
Sometimes when I read crap like this I look around me and wonder what country am I in!
