The consequences of the ObamaCare monstrosity hammered through by Democrat Party against the will of the American people March 23 are beginning to be revealed.

A draft of proposed regulation made public Monday includes a estimate that half of all workers will not be in their existing "grandfathered" health care plans by 2013.

That’s the mid-range estimate. The low-end is still 4 in 10, but they say it could be as high as 7 in 10.

I know for a fact that 0bama supporters would vehemently deny that this is true because it’s bad, and nothing that 0bama could do could have bad consequences.

Their reasoning for this is that they are “good people”, and therefor anyone they support must be a “good person”,
and therefor anything they do must be for our benefit.

In no way would I want to defend Obamacare. But that might have happened anyway. (over the past 10 yrs. I think I’ve had 6 or 7 health plans. When they get hit witn a rate increase your employer will start shopping around for a new one, as you would logically expect. Was always the company’s call and not mine. But not a big deal.)

Unfortunately, the full extent of how badly Obamacare will devastate the health industry won't be known until about 2012 or so, and by then that little bastard and most of the dims who helped push it through will be gone.

The difference is that the new plans will not be "grandfathered plans" and hence should not be expected to be anywhere near as good as to what those getting employer-provided health bennies had been used to.

Everyone with an ounce of common-sense saw this coming -- why would an employer continue to pay for more health bennies than he has to? -- but the ones who will be surprised and most affected by it will be Obama supporters.

Not possible. The Obama Regime has promised that this is not true, and we know from history that socialist tyrants never lie.

The difference is that employers will not offer ANY plans.

Looks like ‘Zerocare’... makes sense on a few levels...

AMA president-elect ready to take on Washington over Medicare payment cuts

By Bruce Japsen, Tribune Newspapers

5:37 PM CDT, June 16, 2010

The new president-elect of the American Medical Association promises to lead the nation's largest doctor group in a more proactive and confrontational relationship with members of Congress.

"The AMA is going to be more insistent and a little edgier with its relationships with Congress and the administration in demanding some of the things we doctors need," Dr. Peter Carmel said in an interview with Tribune Newspapers

That is what you get when you sell your soul to the Devil.

You know, if you were some Marxist, commie, environazi kind of person, this would be good news indeed. It is one way to control population numbers, deny medical care for the old and infirm, make abortions free and accessible. Alcoholics, smokers, drug addicts, and fat people deserve whatever they have. I mean really, you can help create the elusive Utopia with only healthy people. Hitler just went about it wrong.

I'm not sure how much of this I buy, but if it happens I can't wait to rub it in all my liberal friend's faces! My facebook status updates are gonna be brutal!

I'm usually not an 'I told you so' kinda guy, but I'll learn.

Heh.

Everytime a new year rolls around and my husband’s company switches insurance, the new insurance has difficulty accepting their responsibility in covering their portion of the cost of my prescriptions.

The doctor writes out the very expensive prescription. The new insurance company denies it. We pay cash for it.

They still deny it. We wait weeks for reimbursement.

A new month arrives. It’s time for a refill. That’s denied. We pay cash for it.

We wait for reimbursement.

It’s time for a refill.

Rinse and repeat.

And you know what? I’m grateful for the damn insurance! This is part of my husband’s employment compensation package. He works for this. This is not a freebie. I don’t want to bitch about it.

I’m tired of the ungrateful, lazy bastards on this planet that believe healthcare is a right and that it is “free”.

There are idiots out there that actually think Obamacare isn’t going to cost them anything and they don’t think their healthcare choices are going to change.

They don’t even understand that they will be taxed to pay for Obamacare.

And there are others who cannot figure out what Obamacare hasn’t kicked in yet, they thought all portions of the law were going to be implimented on the day the law was signed.

May the good Lord in heaven have mercy upon us all!

I’ll be very interested to know what their response is.

Of course they’ll defend it in some way,
but I’m wondering what the “vehement denial of facts” percentage is.

I thought my student days were long gone but serious and expensive health problems which would have bankrupted me and made me a welfare case to say the least set me off on the study of herbs, supplements and “ditch medicine” in order to avoid the ruinous prescription costs.

We need to revive our extensive traditions of folk medicine and become our own physicians again.

If they lose their insurance, their rates go up, their families aren't covered, or some other drastic change occurs, I see people really getting peeved.

Obama was elected because of the economy, the war, and his promises.

Well, the war is still on, the economy is gonna get worse, and the promises will soon be shown to be smoke and mirrors. I see my friends jumping off his bandwagon like rats off the Titanic.

The AMA supported the healthcare takeover bill! Now they want to be more active with Congressional bills? They are hypocrites!
