Sen. Blanche Lincoln Wins Close Runoff in Arkansas, Captures Democratic Nomination
The Repub will have an easier time running against the Louisiana Purchase.
Looks like the Dem machine won this one for Lincoln. They closed most of the polling places down for the run-off.
I dunno, ask Jimmy.
DeMint said Graham is a great partner in the Senate and one of the few people with enough courage to stand up for things such as tax and social security reform.
On climate policy, DeMint said Graham is trying to pull a few Democrats our way to advance GOP policies on nuclear energy and oil drilling.
He isnt going to vote for the House cap-and-trade bill. Hes trying to move things, DeMint said.
LOL!
Jimmy done effed up
LOL!
I agree!
Especially someone with the UNION and MoveOn.org behind them.
I didn’t follow the race closely, but I’m not surprised if she wins—that Halter guy had a very high “creep factor.”
I am originally from Arkansas but haven’t actually lived there since I was 3. I was born in a small town called Atkins, it is next to Russelville and not to far from Toad Suck:)
Many changes have happened within that twelve years.
Most people think this is the Republicans’ race to lose. (They are admittedly very good at doing just that.)
My thought is that she would be preferable to Halter, if the Republicans should lose it. I don’t want that to happen, but, “the devil we know is preferable to the devil we don’t know”, imo.
I heard that too, but because of that, she might be harder to beat in the General than the moonbat.
Toad Suck Restaurant near Choctaw had great fried catfish. Don’t know if it’s still open, was years ago I ate there.
I really would have put my money on a democrat winning the democrat primary.
Absolutely!
Here’s a big surprise- in Little Rock, ultraliberal Joyce Elliot narrowly won the DemocRAT nomination to succeed Vic Snyder by about 2,000 votes. In other Arkansas races, Chad Causey just barely won a runoff to succeed his boss, Marion Berry, and narrowly won the runoff to succeed John Boozman. All three were cliffhangers.
The pickle plant!
I keep seeing this message. Have you seen the drudge report and Code Pink’s treatment of Nancy P.? Strange that her “friends” would be turning on her just in time to show voters she’s not as bad as they thought—after all, these REALLY BAD people hate her! She’s still our gal! We can trust her! Did the same with Blanche. SEIU hates Blanche!! You know, those mean people with the purple shirts? Those ANDY STERN-N-N-N-N people? They HATE Blanche!!! She must be doing something right, poor thing...she’s still our gal...
Who ever thought up that ploy needs a gold socialist star ‘cause they studied their social psychology lessons really well.
Oh, silly me. This sounds TINFOIL!!! American’s aren’t that easy to manipulate!!
Guess what? Who ever is in the race on the republican side better be pretty darn clever, ‘cause victim “mama farmer” Blanche doesn’t have an problem putting her tail between her legs and cowering to garner votes. She knows where her paycheck comes from, and it ain’t Arkansas—and she’ll do anything to keep it. She sold her soul a while back. It will not be an easy victory for the republican. It may not even be a victory. If her opponent hammers her, Arkansans will rush to protect her. And BIG GUNS will throw in millions to pull her through. Count on it. “Poor Blanche” and her “poor farmer family” will be the only sad faces Arkansans will see for months now—after they see “Poor Weary Blanche” who “won a hard fought race” in the primaries because she “cares about you!” (Read with syrupy southern accent for full effect.)She’s our girl!!!
Consider this a heads up for anyone smart enough to get it. I said it before, I’ll say it again, don’t count Blanche out.
That’s exactly right! The liberals are spending money on a seat they can not keep. I think Lincoln winning is great news for Republicans because if you live in Arkansas she is the poster child for the anger at Washington. I’d say the other guy had a much better chance at winning than Lincoln, but probably either would lose in the general.
