Obama Official: Netanyahu Waiting for ‘President Palin’
INN ^ | 6-8-10 | Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu

The Netanyahu government’s attitude to the United States shows it is “waiting for President [Sarah] Palin, an Obama official reportedly told Peter Beinart, writing for the Atlantic Monthly news site. Palin was the Republican candidate for vice president two years ago and is considered a front-running candidate for the next presidential election in 2012.

“As an Obama official once told me about the Netanyahu team, with amazement, ‘these guys are actually waiting for President Palin,’” wrote Beinart, a senior political writer for The Daily Beast and associate professor of journalism and political science at City University of New York.

In a critical article noting that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and senior government officials preach to the chorus of right-wing and Christian fundamentalist groups in the United States,

We need proven success, leadership, competence, etc.

Ok, I'll toss out a name. It's a name I have suggested before although the man with that name has shown no interest in running for ANY elective office AFAIK. But I believe he could be induced to run if he believed that his Nation needed him once again.

This man is a proven leader, courageous, highly experienced, a patriot in every sense of the word, a backbone that is both moral and forged steel. He fears nothing. I would follow this man because I believe him to be someone of the utmost integrity, and he has proven himself to be worthy of our Nation's trust.

Ladies and Gentlemen? I give you former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Peter Pace!

Here is the man who can not only defeat 0bama in 2012, but has the leadership and experience to lead America skillfully through the dangerous times we live in.

I believe in God as well but I don’t read the Bible to find vindication, damnation or retribution, I read it to find inspiration.

But there are many who wear on their sleeves the smugness of the belief they will be lifted into the rapture and which are at best hypocritcal, self serving and most ironically, wrong.

Nothing too evil about that, I just don’t want them running the country.

Can someone point me in the direction of a Third Party-malcontent “Bush didn’t play dirty enough” thread? This appears to be turning into a Third Party-malcontent “We should play fair and shake hands afterward” thread.

My guess Colin Powell would have been a dem had he retired in 2008. For now I’d prefer the General concentrate on his job, which he seems to be doing.

fine, sign me up. I respect military leadership and think we need people like him. If he runs, I will back him over most of the others.

Probably, she’ll milk them for all the money and votes she can but I doubt she’ll ever publically endorse the site because once she does she will be shredded.

Considering the way the Obama administration has treated Israel, they have no other option - certainly, everyone knows that this administration is going to be one of the lamest lame duck administrations in history.

No doubt.

Baloney.

Wow. We sound like a room full of Democrats at a Nancy Pelosi speech. Not an image with which I want to associate.

There are so many great minds and passionate people on Free Republic, that it always saddens me when we spiral downward into these kind of arguments.

In as much as the article went, I think we realize that it was not Bibi; but an Obama mouthpiece trying to be clever.

It does no good to tell a drowning person that the life preserver at their fingertips is not a sacred object.

So many of us see our country being taken apart piece by piece and freedom by freedom that when someone like Palin emerges with the fire of patriotism burning for all to see, hope surges. It's not a derangement syndrome, it's hope. If it is ill placed hope remains to be seen.

However, to attack someone in the throes of that kind of hope is senseless. Let's look at all who are potential candidates with a discerning eye.

We may disagree on who is the appropriate person to stop the downhill plummet into socialism and loss of personal freedoms, but, I believe that we all want the same things for the most part.

There are huge changes in the way our political system has worked coming down the pike. Change is scary and hard. Let's put that passion toward making the American dream possible again and not aim it against one another.

“We need to clear a path for her. We need to create a new reality.
____________________

“Create a new reality”?!? And just what is that supposed to mean? I’ll tell you what it means, you want to create a “new” reality because you and your fellow Palin KoolAid drinkers CAN’T DEAL WITH *THIS* REALITY!”

Good answer to a stunning statement.

I think if she gets the nomination she will be able to defeat the media. If Obama is unpopular then she has a real shot. My concern is the GOP nomination. We have a tendancy to nominate the person whose “turn it is”... That spells Romney...

Any Republican, or anyone in Republican establishment who stands in Sarah Palin’s way better leave a light on when they go to bed at night. Who knows who is digging through their trash and looking through their closets.

I’m sorry, aren’t you the one who posted the article on FR saying anyone not supporting Palin should be banned from the site?

Aren’t youthe one who posted the article saying anyone not supporting Palin should be driven from the GOP?

Aren’t you the one who made the statement “Any Republican, or anyone in Republican establishment who stands in Sarah Palin’s way better leave a light on when they go to bed at night. Who knows who is digging through their trash and looking through their closets.”

Palinistas are scary and the funny thing is you don’t try to hide it.

You’re just plain scary. Sorry, I’ll take door #2 because at least there’s a chance there aren’t jack booted ideologues hiding behind door.

But this is why I am not concerned about a Palin Presidency. If her supporters are any clue she and they will implode a couple weeks into the primary campaign.

This is what’s funny, if anything McCain will run in 2012 and Palih will have to support him and wait for 2016 or 2020. Her supporters are so blinded by the smoothness of her legs they don’t even realize this reality.

Your response has no substance, other than irrational hatred of Palin because of her religion.
