This morning, Bob Beckel appeared on the Fox News Channel to comment upon Helen Thomas' recent rabidly anti-Semitic remarks about Israel and Jews. To my astonishment, Beckel defended Thomas' remarks as "part of the free speech we Americans enjoy." When asked if Thomas should be fired by Hearst, Beckel went on to say that that was up to Hearst, but that the First Amendment guaranteed her the right to slander Jews and Israel while she worked as Grand Dam of White House reporting/commentary. I don't know whether Beckel is also a Jew hater or that he is incapable of criticizing a fellow Liberal. Either way, his opinions are now officially worthless.
Even for Beckel, this was a stretch. I have emailed Beckel about this and await his reply.
As a liberal political hack, Beckel is just standing up for a fellow-liberal political hack. Right or wrong don’t much matter to these hacks. They only protect their own and spew their vile on the rest of us.
If it were Rush making similar comments to white house press beast, Beckel would be calling for him to be fire and imprisoned.
I doubt even Beckel could muster up a defense of that (which, since she didn't say it, is just an irrelevant straw-man anyway - we could gin up hypothetical statements all day, but it would never make them germane to the discussion).
But as for me - while I most certainly don't agree with the content of her comments (nor, for the sake of indulgence, would I defend anyone making your hypothetical comments), I would still offer the same defense of her (or anyone's) right to make them in what is purportedly a constitionally-based, free society.
ergo: I may not agree with what someone says, but I will defend their right to "offend" me. I'm not really sure how much clearer I can be.

She will no longer be representing her beauty retailers offering the best cosmetics, skin care, makeup, fragrance & perfume, hair, beauty products and makeup tips.

God help me, I don’t want to get old....though my mother died at 86 and looked 50 years younger than her.

Beckel was probably like Bill Maher....picked on as a kid in school for being a nerd and a runt. They have spent their lives getting even ;-)
