Illegal Immigration: Los Angeles' city council votes to boycott Arizona for its enforcement of existing federal law. No word yet on how China's human rights violations will be treated. Ignorance of the law is no excuse.
The next time the Lakers play Los Suns in Phoenix, traveling fans are advised to bring their own snacks. The L.A. City Council voted 13-1 on Wednesday to economically boycott the state of Arizona for daring to protect its borders against the crime, violence and illegal immigration that recently took the life of an Arizona rancher and has made Phoenix the kidnapping capital of the U.S.
Council member and co-sponsor Janice Hahn, who is also running for California lieutenant governor, was asked about the Lakers' upcoming NBA playoff series with the Suns. Games 3 and 4 are scheduled in Phoenix. Hahn told NBCLA, "If you go, we're hoping you take your own snacks and won't buy things in Arizona." This is beyond silly.
The Arizona law, SB1070, empowers local police officers to check the immigration status of individuals whom they have encountered during a "lawful contact," if an officer reasonably suspects the person stopped of being in the country illegally, and if an inquiry into the person's status is "practicable."
Councilman Ed Reyes, one of the measure's co-sponsors, sees it differently: "As an American, I cannot go to Arizona today without a passport. If I come across an officer who's having a bad day and feels that the picture on my ID is not me, I can be ... deported, no questions asked. That is not American." Neither is it true.

Apoint well-worth repeating.
They're going thru a very bad time...we shouldn't make it worse.
They must truly believe that the Hispanic vote is the goose that lays the golden egg for Democrats. All the more reason to get them out now.
Oklahoma passed a pretty aggressive anti-immigration law a few years back and there was no outcry over it. And it has resulted in many illegals leaving the state.
They know this law is a winner.
This should do it for you: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2513147/posts?page=4#4
Evidently the damn illegal aliens need Los Angeles.
Perhaps Arizona should cut off the water and electricity being piped out of their state and into Illegalos Alienes.
After all, American citizens who go to work in Japan must:
a) obtain a visa;
b) submit photographs, fingerprints, fill out forms; have a sponsor; c) cannot go on Japanese social services/welfare but must work and have guaranteed income--if not a student or missionary;
d) be given a "Foreigners Card" which has their fingerprint and photograph and personal details. This foreigner card must, by established immigration law, be carried on the person wherever they go for as long as they are a resident in Japan.
e) A Japanese police officer can ask at any time to see such a card, or passport, to verify that the person is in the country illegally. They have been known to stop someone and just check it (even on the basis they are non-Japanese) and in some cases, people illegally in their country such as visa overstayers, have been detained and then processed for deportation in as quickly as three days, allowing them to get their affairs in order and ship their things out of Japan.
LOS ANGELES HAS THE FOLLOWING SISTER CITY AGREEMENTS WITH *CRUEL* *MEAN-SPIRITED* JAPAN:

A variety of other activities occur between the City of Los Angeles and Japan, which are taxpayer funded.
This needs to be brought up as a general city council issue at the next city council. /sarc
Ping
Conservative people through the Tea Party should announce to L.A. that there will be a lot less money spent there, and also a lot less people at Suns’ games.

RETALIATE.
ESCALATE.
Meet every boycott they announced against common sense Constitutionalism, with two boycotts of Socialist Paradise.
Cali buys electric and water from Arizona...Oh, the possibilities with this boycott!!!
Don’t let your idiocy hold you back.
LA is a bankrupt sanctuary city. They were about to run out of other people’s money about now anyways.
Link at Drudge: Holder hasn’t read Arizona law he criticized
Maybe the Lakers can rent a couple of motor homes in CA and camp out in them while they are here in AZ. That’s what Harlan Ellison did when he was here for a convention about 30 years ago. Of course, Harlan has the cojones to stick to his guns even during the heat of the desert summer. I wouldn’t expect that from spoiled athletes.
Did the fans buy the tickets? Or are Los Suns and Los Lakers letting them jump the turnstiles?
Maybe them Californicators will stay in their socialist paradise and chase the productive ones Arizona’s way! Whoo Hoo! Gotta love when a plan comes together!

LA get power from the Hover dam cut off their power supply and let them live in a darken city.
I agree with not wanting to hurt the good conservative people of the Central Valley. But as far as wine goes, Argentinian reds are far superior. Australian wines are wonderful too and a good value.
And Napa and Sonoma are pretty lib....
Do these tools realize even Caesar Chavez was anti-illegal immigration???
